Has issues out of box
I bought this a few weeks ago, and am having some random reboot issues, as well as the Bluetooth connection to Torque worked once and can no longer connect, even though it shows up in the app. I am giving 3 stars because I tried to create an account on the support site, and there is a question on the registration "What is our product" that fails no matter what I enter. Aside from those issues, I like the unit. It would be nice if you included Bluetooth tethering as this uses a lot less battery on the phone side than WiFi, and is easier to configure.Update, Changed review to 5 stars. I factory reset the unit and did not store data on SD card and it worked fine. Replced the SD card with U3 V30 cards and set one as internal storge and 1 as removable. Everything seems to be working fine now.

Ok unit, but terrible audio noise
Have had this for about 2 months now. All in all, it's an OK unit, but I would definitely pay more for something better if it existed.Performance wise, it does work well. But with the CPU & RAM this thing has, this is practically a given I wouldn't expect otherwise. The first complaint is a relatively minor one, but interacting with the edge of the screen is a major pain. The display is recessed and the bezel sticks out quite a bit (about 1/3rd inch). This makes interacting with the edge of the screen (such as swiping or other side gestures) difficult. The second complaint is much more significant, and that's that there is TERRIBLE audio hiss. And I don't mean from the engine, as the noise is there even when the engine is off. There seems to be 2 issues here as well. There's one hiss that's there even when the volume is at 0 and nothing is playing. Then when something is playing (even if it's playing silence) a louder hiss kicks in that scales up with the volume. I have a convertible, and I can hear the hiss at highway speeds with the top down (at a normal volume). If I can't overcome the issue I will likely be replacing it soon. I have a few ideas I've yet to try, such as trying a USB sound adapter or a bluetooth adapter plugged into my amp.

Surprisingly good
I had reservations about this unit but after I got it installed, I was very impressed. The touch screen works great and the manual controls also worked great. Android is fast on this unit which translates into a really good user experience. In and out ports are in abundance; 2 microSD cards slots in the front (although not the easiest to remove), 2 USB A slots in the back, multiple video inputs and outputs, GPS, WiFi capable, Radio etc it is loaded. Google play store to download any app. Only time will tell how durable this item will be so I will update if something goes wrong. Right now, I have the best car head unit and I just want to drive anywhere just to use it.

Too complicated
Ordered this after trying the boss bvcp9685a. Liked that one, but thought this had so much more going for it. This was another 100.00 from the beginning. But hey android, 4g ram 32g hard drive. But you still have to buy a 70.00 dongle for android auto. Another cable shoved in dash. The bluetooth would not always reconnect. You would have to initiate bluetooth again. Was not as loud as BOSS. Especially blutooth. Liked the dial for volume though. Now with the dongle you are about 350.00 into it. Can not just watch videos from easily still. You can watch from micro usb card easily though. Screen had no video adjustment. Not a great picture, washed out.At the end of the day, the best value by far is the BOSS bvcp9685a with out question right now. Sister got the Pioneer nex 2550. Not much better than BOSS and about 200.00 more.

Good solid stereo, plenty of features, excellent support
This replaced an old stock Alpine stereo that came with my Japan-model Honda Odyssey and it's a huge upgrade.I installed it myself and if you're going to do this, make sure you get the 'harness' intermediary cable bundle to connect the default plug to the car's input plug. It's separate item, specific to your car model. I also recommend some of the plastic levers and pry-bars to remove your car's panels or you can scratch them up with metal screwdrivers, as I did.PROSThe stereo is really nice - the screen is bright, sensitive and there are many many features. Basically you can have any Android apps on there, but the main feature I enjoy is the Bluetooth connection to play Spotify on the go. I also bought an engine monitor and use the app Torque to access the data from the car's computer, which is a nice feature. The sound is good, and configurable. I really like having a physical knob to change the volume and you can adjust the volume boosts for the various inputs - radio, bluetooth, etc.I live outside the US and I had to change the radio frequency settings so I could listen to stations between the odd-numbered spacing the US has. I contacted the company and they were really quick to reply, and pointed out the factory settings I needed to change. Very helpful - and that's along with a good online support forum.CONSThe wired microphone for phone calls is really poor, so much so that I'm going to disconnect it and try to use the other one built into the stereo itself (it has two). People can't actually hear what you're saying.Sometimes the clock on the home screen isn't synced, but that may be an Android issue or perhaps the skin they use. It's only happened a couple of times, and soon corrects.I'd never heard of this brand Pumpkin before, but so far it's got my recommendation for a decent quality, feature-rich and good value car stereo.
