The only thing that could make it better is if the ponytail hole was a bit higher on the head as I like to wear my hair up higher. Especially when I'm in the water so it stays dry. The material seems fine so far in the pool. The brim is a little floppy, but not too bad. Might flip up or down in the wind, but snapping the sides up helps with that.I have several criteria I'm looking for in a hat. It needs to have a wide brim all the way around, it needs a cord to keep it on in the wind, it needs a ponytail hole, and needs to be able to go in the water. I also like that this one snaps up or can be worn down. I do worry about crushing it though as I purchased the exact same hat from a different company in a two-tone color way and it came folded and the creases would not come out of the brim. It is just what you expect from the pictures/description. Seems well-made and is not flimsy or too thick. The ponytail hole is the key feature for me! I do not like hair on my neck, especially while hiking, nor do I like trying to keep my hair coiled on top of my head in a hat. I'm able to wear a ponytail or to use a clip and create a little bun on the outside of the hat. Very comfortable and useful! Also, the ponytail hole has an adjustable strap which helps with the overall fit of the hat.
