Real world military use...Smooth pulls, cumbersome reindexing, perfect depending on your needs
I have used this mag pouch on my Crye JPC while on deployment in Africa, and it has served me well. When looking for a primary mag pouch for my kit, I had a few requirements. First, I prefer to have some extra meat sticking out on my mags to more quickly and easily grip them while changing mags without looking, especially when moving, so I didn't want something that concealed too much of the magazines. But, I could not sacrifice retention for the ease of access that I wanted, as I obviously can't afford to have mags dropping out on an op. Finally, I prefer to keep the front of my kit as slick as possible to allow me to go prone/low crawl when necessary. This product checked all the boxes. The shorter pouch height leaves plenty of room to grip and rip those mags easily. At first I thought it was going to be too short, and the mags would fall out, but I'm happy to report that through all of my workup training and throughout deployment it's never happened... Never even had a close call. There are a couple small points of concern that for me are non-factors, but might turn some people off depending on their intended use. 1. If you are planning on using these in any situation that requires fast reindexing (returning the magazine to the pouch) of mags...this is not the product for you. Mags rip out of these super smooth and fast, but reindexing, even with both hands, is awkward, as you have to pull the pouch out with one hand and push the mag in with the other. One-handed reindexing is almost impossible, especially before these are broken in. This is not a problem for me. I'm not a competition shooter, and in the real world I usually reindex into a hard pouch on my belt, my dump pouch, or a cargo pocket. If you're a competition shooter who needs to reindex, or MIL/LEO who has trained to reindex back to your primary mag pouches, this is not the product for you. I would recommend something like an esstac Kywi for that purpose...though you will need to slightly modify them for super smooth operation. (see my review on the esstac Kywi) 2. These are pretty thin and will probably rip if snagged on something or tear with too much abrasion if crawling. I haven't had an issue yet, and they seem sturdy and rip-stopy (I know not a word), but admittedly it's a bit of a concern being in an austere environment. 3. The only other potential issue I can possibly see is degredation of retention as these pouches age. The elastic-type material used is very strong and secure, but over several months I have noticed a small loss of elasticity when they are empty. My mags are still very snug and again I have had no issues with retention, but when the mags are removed it definitely is not as tight of a gap as it once was. I don't know if this fortells retention doom in my future, but something to keep an eye on I suppose. One last comment. For those who have plate carriers with built-in mag pouches, who are looking for an uncumbersome way to plus up ammo when required, this IS the product you've been looking for. These pouches sit flush against your kit when empty and weigh almost nothing. From a short distance you can't even see them against the multicam background of my kit when they are empty. I bought the two-mag version for my side plate for this exact reason, so I can carry 2 extra mags when the situation dictates, or forget they're even there when not. Having used these out in the real world for several months, I wholely recommend them. Awesome product. Especially at this price point.

Great product, Great company
I have been using these mag pouches for years so I figured I would give it a review. I'm active duty military who spends too much time in the field. This pouch has held up with low crawling, rubbing against objects with no rips or tears. After awhile and plenty of use the material does stretch out, but by the point you already got your moneys worth out it. This is a $60 something product that will last and is defiantly worth it.

Great mag pouches
Great mag pouches. The low profile makes getting a good grip on mags a cinch, while retaining them wonderfully. The retention is dialed in perfectly. There is enough that the mags won't fall out, but are easy to pull out. For reference, I'm military and have gone through a few different mag pouches before this one, but I can say I'm completely satisfied with this one. My only potentially negative comment would be that these are not true multicam/OCP pattern (not the old multicam/OCP or the new scorpion pattern). Honestly, to me it looks more similar to the Brits multi-terrain pattern. For my purposes, it is similar enough, and it's really not that noticeable.

I’m really impressed!
So far, I’m really impressed! The retention is perfect, holding full magazines securely during a full sprint, but not so much that it’s difficult to draw the magazine. Re-indexing mags one-handed isn’t easy, but I’m sure as it loses some of it’s elasticity after break-in, it’ll become easier. I’m so happy with the pouch, I’m going to buy a double M4 pouch to run with the triple on my carrier, and a single to run on my first line.

Great piece of gear
I love this pouch!! I purchased this to be a stand-in for a JPC m4 pouch, but honestly I kept this on there because of how much I like it. Smooth operation of the magazines pulling and re-inserting. Lays flat on the vest when no mags are inserted, and has great retention! I would highly recommend adding this to your vest/ rig.

Pretty cool, not super but cool.
Okay, so there really isn't much to say "special" at first look. For the materials and weight it does seem durable. Mags went in easy the first time, not tight and hard to break in as I have read in other reviews. They do look low profile and high speed for sure. Takes 2 hands to reinsert a magazine is the biggest downside so have a dump pouch for sure. I am happy with the pouch but definitely hard to see $48 in it with the exception of other mag pouch price comparisons.

It holds mags and that's it.
Fits onto my Grey Ghost Gear triple shingle well, multicam looks pretty accurate with minimal color change due to elastic, weighs almost nothing. Please note, magazines that go in this pouch stick up about an inch higher than normal magazine pouches. This doesn't effect the retention, but is can get in the way of other pouches on your plate carrier or chest rig. I will update this review after it sees use.

Genuine BFG
These are very well made, everything I have bought from bfg has been great! If you are needing a slick plate carrier setup that can also double as a self defense carrier, this is the ticket. The mag pockets sit flush when empty, dont really print through a thick sweatshirt or coat. Mag retention is great. Happened to be instock here but not on their site, was alittle worried about it being a knockoff, but it has the laser printing on the back.

Best for use on cummerbunds
It’s BFG - they’re amazing, they’ll always be amazing. They’re best used for emergency mags on your cummerbund as they’ll lay flat when empty and are difficult to reindex with in high speed situations.

軽い!
軽量! 伸縮式でどうかと思いましたが、かなりしっかりした作りでステアーのマグもOKですよー。

Good low profile 3 piece
Good low profile system for your plate carrier/cheat rigs. I bough this item not for magazine but to house my silva compass and other items like these. They do work well for magazines however there durability when crawling through the mud/sand has been called into question already! I’ll give it 4 stars as the price reflects what you good... good mag system just not great!

Seit einem knappen halben Jahr in wirklich übler Nutzung! Tolle Qualität, Stretch immer noch straff wie am ersten Tag. Leichter Farbverlust, der jedoch normal ist.
