The rug looks much more expensive than it is. Great value for very little money. It is so nice that I am getting ready to order another one (different color, different size) for another room. It's a short pile but not flimsy at all. It's a heavy rug. I did purchase a rug pad, but not sure it was really necessary.It's not a dark navy but the color is very, very nice! It changes with the light. It sometimes has a slight grayish cast to it. The design is beige.Also, the rug came nicely rolled, so it lay flat immediately. I've seen reviews for some other rugs that had a strong chemical smell.
