## Questions & Answers

**Q: would these be good for survival pants?**
A: If your goal is "survival", then the fact is that any good quality pants will be basically functional. These pants have a lot of features like a gusseted crotch and support for knee pad inserts. The have tons of pockets for carrying lots of gear, so if you don't wanna look like a doof with a fanny pack, you can load them up.

There's a downside, of course: If anyone sees you walking down the street wearing these things in a survival situation, the least they're gonna be thinking is, "that dude's probably got a lot of the stuff that I need stuffed into his pants." Any other time, anyone who knows anything about these kinds of pants and the people who wear them is gonna be saying, "that dude is probably carrying a gun". If you want to not be noticed, these are possibly not the pants to wear. I'd recommend Propper's HLX pants or one of the other brands' more "covert" cargo pants. They'll let you gray-man a little better. (Of course that all goes out the window if you're slinging ye standard issue youtube prepper MSR around.

My advice for anyone reading answers to this question so long after it was asked: Navy silhouettes less than black does at night but if you look like a blue ninja any other time… LOL. And appropriate camo makes you less visible in wild places, but it attracts attention if you've got a Walmart within 5 miles. In most places, if you look like you belong where you're seen, people rarely think once, let alone twice, at having seen you there. Options are good, so keep yours as open as you can.

I wear these pants most days, but I also work in IT and wear "officey" colors in the office. If I reach into a pocket, people usually expect my hand's coming out with a USB stick or a cable tester, not a magazine. The fact that the pocket's built to hold a mag would sure be convenient if I needed to carry one there, though.

**Q: do these pants have a place to insert knee pads? I have seen the question answered both yes and no.**
A: the ones I got do not have a place to insert knee pads. Popper makes them but they are much more expensive.

**Q: How accurate are the sizes? I don't want to buy pants that fall down to my ankles**
A: I bought three pairs, all 36x34. The third pair were way tighter than the first two, but I kept them. I ordered a size 38 but they were huge on me, so I returned them.

**Q: Whats the difference between these 9 pocket pants and the 11 pocket pants?**
A: This pant has:2 front/trouser pockets2 rear pockets2 cargo pockets1 phone pocket above the left cargo pocket1 wallet pocket in left rear pocket1 coin pocket in the right trouser pocketsumma summarum 9 pockets. Count every pocket. For example the Tru-Spec 24/7 pant has:2 front/trouser pockets2 rear pockets2 cargo pocketsA phone pocket on every cargo pocket (2)2 internal pockets in every cargo pocket (4) 2 Accessory pockets left and rightSumma summarum 12 pockets.I hope that helps.

Really like these pants. Comfortable and durable. They feel like they would really hold up well. Really like all the pockets and versatility. Feel pretty lightweight, when wearing them. I am ,definitely, purchasing another pair (or 3).

great pants for work or casual wear

*by A***N on Reviewed in the United States on August 5, 2013*

I remember when I was first issued these pants for work a few years ago (a popular and prominent city in northern VA); we changed our uniforms and went with these pants and everyone I worked with (including myself) enjoyed the features and all the upgrades from the boring 'BDU' style pants we wore. Not only are these pants comfortable, but they have a lot of practical features and details. The FREE belt is a bonus, but the buckle kind of bulked out a little if you wore a duty belt with them, so I went with the velcro duty belt liner instead, but by themselves as casual wear, the belt included is just fine. They come in the usual 'law enforcement' colors, ie, black, dark navy and brown, but because of our jobs we went with the olive pants and the PROPPER tan shirts and it made for a great uniform combination. For duty wear, these are very comfortable and they held together wash after wash. I think as far as duty pants go, these were the best design for the dollar and they're very professional looking and I especially liked the straighter legs as opposed to the puffed out pockets of the BDU pants. These pants were my favorite uniform duty pants and it was a shame the day I had to turn them in when I left my job, but I definitely had to get a pair (in olive) for casual wear for hiking and camping and fishing. If you're a law enforcement official and looking to get a great pair of pants that offer a lot for your money, you can't go wrong with these. If you're looking for a comfortable pair of travel pants or casual pants for outdoorsy activities, you can't go wrong with these. They fit, feel and look great! I plan on getting some more as Summer turns to Fall.....

    Good pants, so far.

*by S***O on Reviewed in the United States on May 5, 2014*

I've had these for a few days and my initial impressions are as follows:They are just a bit dressier than your average cargo pants, they are a bit stiff and noisy due to the anti stain treatment and materials used and they are a bit tighter than anything else I wear in this size.I like the fact that they are a firmer cut and they don't "bag" out everywhere, including the pockets. The things I don't like about them are the snap above the zipper instead of a button. These fit a bit snug and I find this snap constantly undoing itself when i sit down. Personally I don't like snaps but I can learn to live with it. The included belt is cheap and nothing to write home about. It has a plastic buckle that I find difficult to tighten the belt correctly, so I usually wear it loose. I'm sure I'll just change belts soon but I wanted to try this one out.Durability is something that only time will give an honest review of. These seem well made and I hope they last a while but I can't comment on that yet.I'm not sure these are "exact" size like everyone else claims. No other pants in this size fit me as tight including jeans, slacks or other cargos. I suppose all my other types of pants could be mis sized but that seems rather odd. I think these do actually run a bit small and I would consider getting a size up if you aren't constantly fluctuating in weight up or down. All in all I like them. They aren't perfect but then I've never found pants that I couldn't find something I dislike about them.(Added November 30, 2014) I bought these a second time and found they fit correctly if I get one size bigger. I'm not skinny in the waist or thighs so these fit really snug, using the same size as all my other pants. (slacks, cargos, jeans, etc.) They fit excellent now but still have some flexibility issues. The fabric lasts but the zipper seems to be the weakest link so far. Overall They are very good and I'm sure I'll purchase more in the future.
