So instead of Judah you get Yehuda, instead of Egypt you get Mitzrayim, and so on. I also love having the Hebrew right there to refer to when I'm reading.What I don't like about this Tanakh is that it uses a more proper English translation. By that, I mean it uses "thee" and "thou" and "dost" and "hence" and what have you. Which really wouldn't have stopped me from buying it, it was just not something I was expecting. Also, as far as size goes, it is very hefty. It's small in height and width, but it's got some depth to it (not just spiritually). So it's small, but at the same time it's not. It's pretty thick and pretty heavy. I can definitely throw it in my backpack and take it with me wherever I go, but if you want a compact Tanakh, this ain't it.That being said, I still love it and use it daily. It's become my standard Tanakh for studying. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Absolutely gorgeous! *by D***N on Reviewed in the United States 🇺🇸 on May 5, 2020* This book is spectacular. It has a nice, sturdy binding and with beautiful covers and text. Either side of the page has the English and Hebrew comparison of the text. The font is easy to read and the ink is nice and dark. It's very thick, so it's definitely not something you can just have in your back pocket. But the beautiful color and style definitely gives it a more special appearance. Definitely something I can imagine passing down to future generations. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Wonderful book *by E***T on Reviewed in the United States 🇺🇸 on January 12, 2011* I am very pleased with this book, with one exception, which I will note below. First let me mention how much I love it. It is beautiful and the translation is impeccable. I love the attention to detail and the fonts, both English and Hebrew are easy to read. One of my favorite aspects is the way that the names are transliterated Hebrew and not the conventional versions found in Christian bibles. I feel like this is truly a Jewish book and will become an heirloom for my family. My only complaint is the size--I wish it were bigger and the print was bigger.
