It is always best to buy a replacement item that is from the manufacturer. With gaskets, that guarantees a perfect fit and a long(er) life. As pressure cookers can explode if not careful, I rely on the manufacturer's quality assurance (as is the case with the Silit Sicomatic, pressure cooker, which I have had since the 1980s!
