There seems to be some confusion from a few of the reviewers that this is supposed to be a kit, and rated it poorly because they only received bags. The Title and description clearly state All in one grow bags, NOT a kit. If you actually read and pay attention to the listing and pictures, it's obvious that these are bags only. All in one is referring to the bags having a prepared filter port meaning they are ready to use without any additional alterations. Now with the confusion out of the way, on to the real review. The quality of the bags is much better than some of the other brands that I have tried. They are a little more expensive compared to some others at the $.998/ea cost that I paid, but I had zero failures in bag structure or performance and zero contamination. The 3 mil is very durable, seals easily and completely without leaking or tears when I use an impulse sealer. With this thickness they are easy to stand up and fill, I am never concerned or careful moving full bags around, or worrying about seams or punctures. I've even used a few of these bags more than once for grain spawn(something I had never even considered trying with other bags) just to see if I could, and they actually worked perfectly. The .2 micron filter patch has been perfect for contamination free fresh air exchange. Bottom line, if you are looking for a sturdy, well made reliable grow bag that can handle 5lbs (or more) of substrate this is an excellent choice. I will definitely be purchasing more in the future.

I use there for a few purposes. First is for grain spawn. The bags hold PLENTY of grains. They work fine with the pressure cooker ( keeps space so they dont touch the sides). They can be sealed with my kitchen vacuum sealer. The mycelium grows / progresses fast. Second is as a grow bag. The bags allow plenty of space for spawn, substrate and fruiting. They stay crystal clear allowing you to check progress easily. I personally cut a small square opposite the original patch and use 2 layers of surgical They are super easy to use and take the abuse I put them thru while still looking good and functioning well.

Used all 25 bags start to finish before writing this. Lost 2 bags breaking up and shaking spawn mid-colonization due to the bottom seam failing and popping like a bag of chips under slight pressure. Human error or otherwise that might be a QC issue. I've used the bags equally by injecting through the installed tape patch and covering that up, and by transferring colonized grain into the open bag. You'll need a heat sealer and microspore tape to seal the pre-installed patch to use these properly.

I bought these bags back 3 years ago around 2020 and just used the last of them. 0 failures in my presto pressure canner. Nice thick and durable bags

These are really nice bags, plastic is thick. Size is bigger than I expected but that just means more substrate and more mushrooms!

Stood up to a pressure cooker with no significant ill effects. The plastic does get a bit stiffer and slightly brittle, but no leaks or cracking noted. I wouldn't recommend using them a second time however. I have a food saver which works great for sealing before sterilization (not vacuum sealing). My initial grow of Oyster mycelium is doing excellently after 3 weeks. No signs of contamination.

These bags have filters that are coated with some type of plastic. It looks and feels like straight up plastic. I tried to blow through this piece to see if it's breathable and it's not. I was wondering why my grow kept stalling and contaminating even though I was using clean cultures. As soon as I switched to bags with other filters my grows took off quickly. It's a bit odd that Amazon is not allowing the other bags to ship to my area even though grow bags are 100% legal throughout the whole US. Seems like Amazon is sabotaging. Go to Mycology suppliers online stop buying from Amazon if they want to sabotage hit in the pockets.

I bought a grow kit and was fascinated by the whole mushroom growing process. So I’ve decided to create my own substrate and use the spawn I bought online to try. It has been only two weeks so my experience is limited thus far. The bag is easy to use, relatively cheaper than others on Amazon. I was really surprised how much substrate the bag can hold. I used pasteurized straw and it took 8 lbs and one lb of grain spawn and still have plenty of room in the bag. Overall, it was a positive experience for a beginner using this bag.

Amazing bag . Bought 3 packages 25 bags per package. Each was 30$ Now I see the price has been raised to 40$

Excellent quality. Though, reading the packaging packet, Made in China, means it was sent to the U.S.A. and then sent to the U.K. Not really helping the planet! Happy with the product but not happy with my choice after finding that out on receipt of it.

I have used these bags before. Very durable. I ordered a large lot this time. Oysters, lions mane, and other experiments were put into place by the first bags ordered.
