Being a person who loves the flavor of ground pepper, these are a go to. They work great and the bright white light was everything the reviews said. Much better than a warm white would be. And not having to make sure that batteries are on hand, being rechargeable totally rules. So, get a set today! Easy to use, just turn them on and turn them over. Adjustable grind by turning center know. Easy to fill, unscrew bottom and fill. Can't speak to durability as I have only had mine for a short time. But if sound is anything, they are durable. Can also be used for other spices. So, how does that sound, good value? The grinders hold about 3/4 - 1 cup

UPDATE: The vendor replaced my set and the new set is improved and even better! And they only require 4 batteries, not 6, per grinder. The new set works great and I'm delighted with the product and superior level of customer service. I highly recommend. Oh, and the set I had bought as a gift for someone still works for them, so this means the set I had was just defective. I'm overall pleased and will purchase from this vendor in the future!I bought these last year but didn't take them out of the box and use u til recently when we had a large dinner party. People loved them and we also used them daily so I was really disappointed that one of them stoped working after 3 months. I thought perhaps they had been overused but the other one stopped working about 5 weeks later. Terribly disappointed and will not buy them again. I had given a set as a gift but never heard back from the recipients if theirs died, too.

Initially, I gave this product a 1 star review because it stopped working after 4 months. Upon seeing my review, the sellers immediately (politely, professionally) reached out to me to reconsider my review if they would ship me a new set of grinders, which I agreed to. (They were concerned that something might’ve been damaged in the original set during shipping, and wanted to make it right.) At this point, a couple months later, the replacement shakers are working great. The only reason they don’t get 5 stars from me is because I feel like (compared to other sets I’ve owned), that there’s not a whole lot of torque while grinding either salt or pepper, and I also have to shake them every now and then to get them to feed more pepper corns or salt granules to the grinding chamber. With that said, however, I do enjoy the way the look and the consistency of the grind. Hopefully they last longer than 4 months this time.

The media could not be loaded. We have been using salt and pepper mills for quite a few years, but have been using the type that you have to turn the top for milling. These sometimes are difficult to turn and require two hands for operation. So, using them while cooking is cumbersome since you can't stir food and operate these mills at the same time. When I saw electric salt and pepper mills being used in a restaurant, I knew I had to have a set.When I found this set of mills, I knew they were the ones I wanted to try. I chose the stainless (silver) set, and love that the tops are brushed stainless rather than a shiny stainless that shows finger prints. It was also important to me that the grinding mechanisms on these mills are ceramic rather than metal since metal ones corrode and rust too quickly - especially when using them for Celtic Sea salt that is moist.These mills light with a white light rather than a blue one that some others have. With the white light, it is so much easier to see how much salt or pepper you are putting on your food. The glass jars of the mills hold a large amount of salt and pepper, so they won't have to be refilled very often. I very much appreciate that the openings of the jars are much larger than other mills we have had, which makes refilling them so much easier. Another great feature is the ability to change the coarseness of the grind by turning the knob on the top of the mill. The last picture shows a course grind of pepper, and a fine grind.The only disappointment was that these mills require 6 AAA batteries each, and I didn't have enough AAA batteries available. Although a lot of batteries are required initially, they should last a very long time considering the amount of time they would be used.These mills would also be very useful for spices that come in seed form such as coriander, cumin, allspice, and other spices that can be bought in seed form. . I currently buy cumin seed and grind it myself for freshness. By using one of these mills, I could use fresh ground cumin without having to grind it separately. All in all, I am extremely happy with these mills and would recommend them.UPDATE 10/02/20:We have had this set of salt and pepper mills for over 15 months, and use them daily on the table and for cooking. Although I was initially concerned about the number of batteries is uses, as yet the batteries are still going strong and have not had to be replaced. Both mills still supply consistent grinds and have not needed to be cleaned because of clogging. I am so happy with these mills as they are much easier to use than the ones having a top that needs to be tested and the one-hand operations is wonderful when cooking foods that need to be stirred. I also love the light that allows me to see how much salt and/or pepper I am adding my our foods.I will update this review if my opinion changes and to report longevity of these mills. I hope this review was helpful for you in deciding on mills that would be best for you.

If you like to cook these are a must have! They are easy to use, easy to fill, and have been a great time saver. If you love fresh cracked salt and pepper but hate the constant twisting, you need to try these! Perfect size to fit in your kitchen, and they look great, perform well, and I couldn't imagine cooking without them! Great value, I will order more for pink salt and white pepper!!

I bought two sets on Dec. 11th, 2021, one for myself and one as a gift -- nearly 3 years ago. I LOVE them and use them constantly, they are my only salt & pepper dispensers. However, be advised that salt corrosion is a problem -- every 6 months or so the salt grinder starts becoming intermittent and won't activate (shaking/tapping it helps for a while). I have to remove the batteries and burnish the battery connections (I use a Dremel tool wire brush) which usually helps a lot, but I think the internal gravity switch is slowly degrading too. I'm not complaining -- it's been three years of heavy daily use. I think I'm just going to have to buy a new set every few years, but I consider them worth it.(Also, as others have said, make sure your salt is as dry as possible.)
