Beautiful and Functional Daily Kyusu Teapot
This kyusu teapot is both elegant and practical. I use it everyday and not once have I seen a decline in the tea and teapot quality. The craftsmanship is excellent, with a comfortable handle and a well-designed spout that pours smoothly without dripping. The built-in strainer works perfectly for loose-leaf tea whether it be green, black, or herbal tea, allowing for a clean flavorful brew. It feels well balanced in the hand and has quickly become my go-to teapot for daily tea. I highly recommended for anyone who enjoys quality tea and a thoughtful design.

Just Right
Excellent. This is the traditional, Japanese crafted, completely ceramic teapot I wanted. Makes 1 large Asian teacup or 2 small teacups full. The hole sizes of the built-in ceramic strainer are perfect and traditional, allowing some “tea dust” to get through, which to me is part of drinking loose-leaf sencha. Love it. The price was good, and I like the simple, burnished brown and earthy look of the pot.

Beautiful traditional Japanese clay teapot
Purchased to replace a teapot i broke in transit from Japan. Beautifully crafted teapot. Has a textured finish on the outside. No leakage.

Classical style clay teapot
Made in Japan per attached label. Smaller volume than reported. Likely best for matcha as traditional ceremonial matcha is served in small cups. Did not see a spout screen. Good introduction to this style of teapot

Perfect for Japanese tea and small CTM decoction
This is a beautifully made tea pot especially considering the price. This tea pot is more Japanese inspired. Its capacity falls between a western style tea pot and that of a Chinese/kungfu tea pot. Full disclosure, I purchased this tea pot for making a small portion TCM tea, which it works perfectly. I've read one of the reviews regarding its size saying it's too large. I think that person might have compared it to Chinese kungfu style tea pots. The lid may not "fit snuggly" as kungfu tea pots. But I don't think it's fair to judge the quality of this tea pot using kungfu tea pot's standard, just as you wouldn't compare a frying pan to a sauce pan. Japanese tea pots don't necessarily require the lid to be fitted. I personally never even use the lid for sencha as sencha and some green/white teas don't need as much brewing energy as oolong, rolled teas or aged teas.

Impressed. Like using for a cup of tea & having refill ready to go.

Great Everyday Teapot
I love drinking tea from a teapot but I often forget about it so I would wind up drinking a cold pot of tea. This one is a perfect size for two or three small cups or one 11-12 ounce mug. The teapot has a clay built in strainer inside and it works well. Some fine tea particles will get through but that doesn’t bother me. The matte finish of the clay exterior and handle is rough, almost gritty, and I like this. It’s not irritating or abrasive and it makes gripping the teapot easier. The handle is hollow and stays cool when brewing hot tea. It’s a bit of a hassle to clean it out when you’re finished because of the roundness of the teapot and the grooves inside but this is the case whenever using loose tea and a mesh strainer. I love this teapot and use it every day. I also loved the price I paid as compared to other retailers ($45-$60 for the same teapot).
