Van H is one of the very few mens shirt companies that sells long sleeve shirts with sleeve and neck sizes instead of SM&L. And the quality is great. They really are wrinkle resistant as long as you take them out of dryer promptly. Buying a dress shirt labeled medium or large is a big guess because sometimes the sleeve is too long or the neck is too tight, etc. I avoid those shirt companies entirely. Love Van H.

I’ve just ordered my third batch of these VH poplin shirts.The latest batch is second or third generation.First generation was about 4 years ago and I had zero problems.Second, and maybe third gen (new tag materials anyways), the sleeves are slightly different and the sizing is inconsistent.The inconsistent sizing usually has something to do with the size of the arm holes. About 9” is what I’m most comfortable with. But, the actual size varies from 7-9”, depending on the colors of the shirts.Yes, the color of the shirt. I have to order different colors, and return the ones with arm holes less than about 8.5 inches.Shirt colors that fit me (arm hole apx. 8.5-9"): pacifico, persian blue, desert rose, magentaShirt colors that do not fit me (arm holes apx. 7-8.5"): Lavender, deap sea, leaf, persimmon.Note: several other colors available that I have not tried yet.A sizing bonus: these are one of the few shirts you can get a 16.5 inch neck, with 36/37 inch sleeves. That sleeve length is usually found in 17 + inch neck sizes.I’ve got broad “cowboy” shoulders, long arms, a 42” inch chest, weight about 195lbs., and I’m 5’11” tall. These shirts actually fit me, sorta (gah, why have small arm holes on a shirt w/gorilla arm length sizing?!).The body of the shirt is perfect, the shoulders are a good fit with the seem right at the end of my shoulder.Zero problems with buttons. Occasional small defect in threading but no functional failures. The fabric doesn’t rip and drapes well. The no wrinkle feature is true, I travel and pack a LOT!The bottom button is a smidge too high for my 5’11” frame. It lands just above my belt line and causes the shirt to pull out, separate, and expose my T-shirt or skin. But, it’s workable. An extra bottom button for taller men would be good.The length of the sides drapes a couple inches below my belt line and the tails down to my inseam.All told, I’ve worn about 10 of these shirts until they’ve worn out.I use them as work shirts in a light blue-collar job.I tend to wear each shirt 1-2 days a week, year round, and they last me 1.5-2 years.

The shirt cost $20, so consider that. It isn't premium quality or real beefy, but for the price, I consider it an excellent value. The color remains dark and rich after several washings. I'd buy it again - and plan to buy it in brown.

I purchased this dress shirt for when I needed to appear in formal wear. If you carefully measure your size and order accordingly, this shirt will fit you perfectly! It is crisp, bright and the collar stands strong when wearing a necktie. I strongly recommend!Big Rudy

I've had difficulties with sizing on purchases from amazon in the past. but amazon is super cool about taking things back so i haven't changed.but this one takes the cake. i got the shirt, and i was just going to throw it in the luggage for a scheduled cruise next month. Yet something told me, "Try it on!". And let me tell you, I'm glad I did!the length of the arms was perfect, the neck was spot on, chest was pretty close, and the waist was pretty close also. overall, i could have skipped desert once or twice for a perfect fit.but what i couldn't get past was the diameter of the arms... i'm not a muscular man, not by a long shot, but the arms were just too tight. I felt like if i bent my arms at the elbow, the shirt would rip. a person would have to have twigs for arms to have the sleeves fit right. i don't get it, everything else was sized perfect.PS: i've purchased this exact size vanhousen shirt from the outlet malls in the past without any problems whatsoever.

The measurement that I took of my arm length was incorrect and I do not fault Van Heusen for this. I will just give it to my son as his shoulders are wider than mine which will then allow him to take up some length.The quality of the shirt is outstanding and extremely well worth it for the money. I am a big fan and in fact I just ordered another one, same design however, this time with a shorter sleeve length. If your measurements are correct, neck and sleeve length, you will love this shirt.

I don;t know what poplin is but this is a cotton polyester blend and what I expected and is comfortable to wear. The only thing that isn't perfect is that when I raise my arms, the shirt tightens up. It fits really well everywhere but it was a surprise when I raised my arms and everything tightened up. I'm not overweight (5"11" /170 Lbs with 'normal' sized arms). Normally I just buy a regular fit and all is good so I'd say this is just slightly on the slim side. I'd buy it again if needed.

El fit es de un corte regular, amplio y cómodo. Es un poco más amplia que otras camisas de la misma talla. La tela luce muy bien y las costuras están muy bien hechas. Se siente y ve de buena calidad.

It came wrinkled so not wrinkle free lol but otherwise bought two. One for my hubby and another for my son in-law for our Handfasting. Size was great.
