Really great air fryer!
I also have a GoWise 5.8qt and this is far superior to that one. There is no inner basket, instead there is an insert that fits on the bottom and it comes with a divider if you need separate your food. I haven't had a need to use it yet but it's nice to have just in case. Clean up is easier than the 5.8qt and since there is no inner basket, there's no need to worry about the inner basket separating from the outer one by accident. Also, on the 5.8qt the handle on the basket kept coming loose and I had to tighten the screws pretty often. I use this air fryer more than the 5.8qt, it's just easier. The controls are the same on both. This air fryer is super easy to use and food is cooked evenly with little or no oil and the larger basket is a big plus. I would not hesitate to get another one if the 5.8qt. ever needs replacing.

Good
Clean is mostly okay, not great. Oil, grease and burnt items are always a pain tho

Cooks great but closing the drawer is hard.
Love using the air fryer for cooking. It's simple to use and the food out of an air fryer is super crispy. However, this model has a design that's hard to close the shelf. Whatever rail is't on isn't smooth and I have to try to put it 2-3 times before I finally get it to close. The only thing wrong with it.

Why Did I Wait So Long to Buy This?
Air fryers are getting a lot of hype, which usually makes me skeptical, but I started hearing people I trust sing their praises. I'm glad that I finally bought one, and getting the bigger 7 quart model was a good move considering I cook for a family of three. There's room to prepare a whole chicken if I need to. I've attached a photo of the three large chicken breasts on the GoWise air fryer's maiden voyage. They came out tender and juicy on the inside with crispy skin on the outside. These cooked in all of 25 minutes...no grease, no spattering. The internal temp hit 170 degrees. Tastes great! Clean up was a cinch. I've already used it multiple times now.

NO OIL!!
TIME you have to adjust the time. If you line the bottom of the tray with fries use half the time that is programmed. Just pull out the tray half way through cooking. You would have to test the timing on what every you cook depending on amount, etc. But other than that I love this fryer!! My husband and I love to eat the pre-breaded shrimp which only taste good if they are fried in oil. We have tried baking them, broiling them, but the only way to get the right crispness, the crunchy texture without sogginess is to actually fry them in oil. We also enjoy french fries, but the bagged fries have an oil based coating on them so the only way again to get the crisp non soggy texture is to deep fry them also. I was very skeptical as to how well this air fryer would work. Our first meal using this fryer of course were the breaded shrimp and fries. I will throw out my grease deep fryer tomorrow!! It was amazing!! Perfect on the shrimp and the fries, we didn't use bagged fries we used fresh cut potatoes and they were perfect. Of course this was my first experience with an air fryer so we shall see how well this one holds up. As for the first testing, Its worth every penny to reduce our cholesterol intake.

Didn't think I would use it as much as I am. I'm hooked.
I'm still learning things to do with this. I bought the large capacity because...go big or go home. Better to have more than you need than wish you had more. I can do a very large whole chicken in it and it makes fantastic crispy skin. Cooking times take some trial and error...what a recipe says doesn't always pan out. I do a lot of frozen french fries, onion rings, chicken strips. I do the whole chickens. I've made kale chips. I'm only just beginning. It's large and it takes up a lot of space. I keep it in a cupboard rather than on the counter but I sure drag it out often. It cleans up easily IF you spray it first. If you do the average things, it cleans like a snap, but if there is any sauce on what you fry (say like BBQ chicken nuggets), that sauce will burn on and fuse. But soaking in soapy water for a while usually does the trick. I love it so far.
