These take on the taste of what you cook it in. Virtually like a nice firm noodle. Soak in warm saltwater to soften. Then add to your chosen recipe. Adds a good measure of protein to your diet. I'm diabetic and this is a great addition to my meals.

These are truly delicious and excellent to have on hand. But remember you need to soak them first for best results. They soak up whatever seasoning you put on them. Great in a noodle bowl or just with some baby bok choy

I like this tofu for camping. That was why I purchased it. I found I like it at home too. It can be prepared to be crispy or very soft and limp. It can be left in the sticks or broken into pieces. It has a flavor I like. Others who have eaten dishes I have prepared have all looked at it as strange but ended up liking the taste too.

First, YUBA , both fresh and dried is part of my normal food routine, so I am familiar of the range of viable flavors. This 2 batches have a smell and the color is off . I buy this brand all the time. The past 2 shipments I received of this brand have a dark almost a grey-toned dark brown color as opposed to the usual caramel color. The smell likewise is different from the usual supply. It smells llike mud, gasoline and melted plastic. I gave the sellers the opportunity to clarify this radical deviation from their normally delivered product, but to date noone has responded. The Amazon non- returnable food items policy seems to allow some sellers to justify not responding. Each shipment contains 2 packages and costs basically $20. These 4 packages are not edible and may not be safe to eat.

For about $1 per ounce, these are still a good deal for beancurd sticks available on Amazon. I have tried a few cheaper and similar-priced options and most of those had issues such as preservation quality or added salt. These ones are good quality and the price is fair, at least for the ones you can get on Amazon. The flavor is good and there is enough included.

This product adds to my repertoire of vegan dishes. It is a good substitute for a " tripe and beans" dish that my mother used to make in the Caribbean for us as children. I will continue to search for more recipes to use with this product . It is very versatile when reconstituted.
