If you are buying these for fun, they are awesome for distance and intensity. They leak a little bit, but not horribly.I, however, bought them for cat patrol. My cat is stubborn and needs a deterrent to stay off the counters and kitchen table. I can shoot him from the next room, they shoot so far. They let out a good blast, so even if you miss, it's enough to scare them off the table but it lets out a good stream of water, so you will get some things wet. I had to get my cat once with these and now all I have to do is pick it up, and he jumps off the table (because, let's be honest, cats will never just learn to stay off the table. They need the constant threat of being soaked as a deterrent...)

Some reviews mention a pump gauge. There is no gauge. Pump stroke is short, needs lots of short strokes to pressurize. But shoots pretty well.

Good stream, but leaky

bought 12 for our 7 year old's birthday party. inexpensive, light-weight, easy to refill and for younger kids to carry, pump and shoot. no complaints whatsoever.

These Hornets shoot far, are lightweight enough for 5-year olds (though dad has to pump it up) and are durable. I now have 6 of them and it makes for the best backyard water wars. Great on capacity, too.

way better deals on squirt guns....weak range, low water capacity...all the way around it's just not worth it.

These are pretty good quality, nice size tanks, no leaks. Only need about 10 strokes to build up some good long-lasting pressure. Recommend.

These water guns are so incredibly, your kids will think that they are Clint Eastwood way back in the days of the wild wild west (except with high tech squirt soakers). I squirted my 80 year old grandmother so much with them her dentures fell out. The power of these guns is amazing-- my grandmother uses "fixadent." Ya, thats right, fixadent. If you want supurb quality matched with super fine water quality, these are the soakers to get.
