Great Support for Supinators
My son has a wide foot with high arch and high instep. He is normally prone to turning his ankles (supination). These shoes offer great support for him and keep him from going over on the outside of his foot. He is very pleased with the fit and feel.

Ironman 70.3
I am training for my second triathlon, which is an Ironman 70.3. I wanted to get a shoe that would provide the cushion and support without being to heavy for speed work. This shoe has a great balance at most everything. This shoes does not necessarily specialize in any area, but maximizes its strengths in versatility. It will give you the light and responsive needs for speed work, but will also provide all the support and cushion you need for long runs. Can other shoes beat the Ghost in these individual categories? Yes, but no other shoe can provide the ability to excel in any type of run you can throw at it. I would recommend this shoe over its heavier counterpart the Glycerin 17, as the added weight is not worth extra cushion for most runners. This shoe is great for whatever level of running you want to throw at it. Unless you are aiming for extreme ends of the spectrum in distance (ultramarathon) or speed (short sprints) this is the shoe for you.Possible improvements:-Style. This is not a big complaint, but I added some different color laces to add to the style of these shoes. Overall great design.

Unreal Comfort! It's like gliding on air as you walk.
Coming from YEARS of Asic's Nimbus series, I find the brooks absolutely destroys the Asics in every category. I still can't believe how many years I blindly paid $150 per pair for the declining quality Nimbus while completely ignoring any Brooks shoe for the same price. I would pay $200 for these shoes. I am a large man with very high arches that needs cushioning, and these are honestly the best pair of shoes I've ever owned. I think I am a brooks customer now, and I hope they keep up with manufacturing standards, because that's why I jumped ship from Asics. Keep it up Brooks, we need somebody that still does things right for their customers!

i love them
excellent design/comfort and a perfect fit. I've owned the ghost 10/11 previously and these are at least equal if not more comfortable.

writing titles is the hardest part of a review
Wow, these are great. I don't like having to spend $130 on running shoes, since they wear out quicker than other shoes, but in this case, you get what you pay for. Very, very comfortable. I had the Ghost 11 before and liked them, and these are a worthy model replacement.I also put in plantar fasciitis insoles to provide firm, sturdy arch support, and it's easy to take the provided liners out and them in.I also like how I can get a solid black running shoe. I like the option to be able to wear these traveling to cut down on the number of shoes I pack, and so many running shoes look so obnoxious (I wear bright orange or yellow shirts when I run, so I don't need my shoes alerting people to my presence).

Destroyed my achilles heel...
I have never paid attention to the shoes I'm wearing since I only buy shoes based on aesthetic. I have owned multiple shoes from Asics, Nike, and NewBalance. I tried this shoes because I have heard good things from Ghost 11 but this one is the worst.I walk at fast pace 4-5 miles per day. I tried this shoes for two days and hurt my Achilles tendon which forced me to stay put and rest for 2 weeks before I can even walk normal again. I'm not sure if it's because my feet has strange shape (jk, I have never heard anyone told me that for all my life).Otherwise, it has nice cushion, and looks nice. That's about it.

Great shoes
Similar to the Ghost 10 shoes I replaced. Very comfortable and obvious high quality.

Great cushioning but running narrow at the midfoot
The cushioning is fantastic. I also like the reinforced patch in that spot where the big toe often pokes through the material ruining a lot of my trainers. The only issue I have is that they run rather narrow at the midfoot. The toe box is plenty wide enough, as is the heel area. What's unusual is the huge difference between the width of the toe box and the width of the midfoot area.I bought the regular width ones a size larger than my usual dress shoe size. So lengthwise I have plenty of space, which makes it all the more surprsing how narrow they are in the middle. I'm still keeping them but it's not 100% comfortable.

Delighted with Ghost 12
I bought the Brooks product as a recommendation by my brother. He recommended these as we both have a high arched foot and that these would provide additional support. I'm delighted to say that he wasn't wrong. As someone who would have lived and died by Asics , these Ghost 12 are a sturdy well fitting running shoe. I'm a size 10 UK and ordered size 10 UK and they fit perfect. I normally run routes anywhere between 6.5k -10 k on hilly country roads and these Brooks Ghost 12 absolutely eat them up for breakfast. The only small fault I could find with them is that they are a small bit heavier and slighly more cumbersome than a lighter asics training shoe , however as I said for rougher ,hillier roads - they give great support and grip. I suppose what I'm saying is that it's horses for courses !!!Price wise they are probably 20 quid more expensive than what I would normally spen/expect for a good running show but so far so good and worth every extra penny .Would definitely recommend.

Comfortable and light runners
Moving from Brooks Transcend 4 to Ghost 12's and it's as comfortable as my previous ones. It's difficult to compare as 500 miles on a pair of runners will no doubt create some comfort changes even if they look new still. With these I am currently running 2 minutes quicker which is a huge difference and comfort has something to do with it. This also wasn't a one off as I have changed between the two and it is constant. These are nice to run it right from day one, I had my best 5k time of the year the first time I put them on and then the following run took off another minute. They of course have been replaced by the 13 now and no doubt the 14's are around the corner but having done 30 miles now I am happy to review and let you know how comfortable and easy to run in they are. I would have personally prefer a better colour but looking to do over 500 miles in the first half of the year will have me looking at the 13 and 14's by July.

Comfort.
Brooks are so comfortable even if you aren't running in them. Fit so well, dont sweat my feet, I can wear black ones in place of shoes for work and I can wear them all day every day

Life span review
These shoes have lasted around 1000km, which is about right according to Brooks - The seam has just split on the outer edge of both shoes and sadly, they are off in the bin.Bought these for long distance work as reviews were decent. Performed pretty well cross country and not a bad shoe, can’t really fault it. Comfort started to wear off in longer runs towards the end.Not exactly “must buy again” material. I’d probably recommend something a bit more techy. I feel like a decent pair of shoes adds a level of psyche as you put them on and even as far as psyche from the feedback each foot strike. However, I can only describe this shoe as having a beige personality.
