Review: My FattyMax may have saved lives! - My girlfriend and I rented a campsite for Memorial Day weekend a couple years ago at what's called a Hip Camp, which is a basically a private small campground out in the middle of nowhere, with very few neighbors nearby. There were 3 other campsites with at least 10 other campers besides us. Come late night we could hear gunshots and ATVs out in the distance. This went on for over an hour with lots of shots, engine revving and yelling. These yahoos did not realize there was a campground nearby and eventually the shots started ringing out in our direction! I could hear the rounds whizzing by! Having grown up around firearms my whole life, I really wished I had one at that moment. However I did have my newly purchased Fat Max spot light. I shined it at them and yelled "Hey That's Too Damn Close, There's People Over Here!!" They saw my light and realized they were in the wrong and quickly left, after popping a couple more caps in the air. All the other campers left the next morning! No one else had a spotlight and the heuvos to confront those guys with multiple ATVs and pistols. Thank you Fat Max for bringing the candle power and the long range focus to be seen. If I did not have the bright light, we may have not been noticed in time. I have had it for a couple years now, and dropped it a couple times in the dirt. Still works just fine and holds a charge well.

**Q: if the battery is dead, will it still work plugged into 12 volt system?**
A: Yep, the direct line to the LEDs pretty much bypasses the battery with any excess sent to the battery.  Works fine with a dead battery, I've tried it.

**Q: Would this be a good choice to see an address at night from my car while delivering pizza in bad neighborhoods to unappreciative customers?**
A: I bought this spotlight for exactly this purpose when I was a pizza delivery driver. It works great for finding addresses and it is waterproof in case it is raining. I just left it in my car and would stick it out the window and shine it on homes to see addresses. It really helped. As I recall you can't use it when it is on the charger, however. But I would only turn mine on when I needed to see an address, so it would last a whole shift until closing then I would charge it when I got home overnight. It never died on me. Very bright and focused light. However, I would never be a pizza delivery guy again. How does the old saying go, "Never bring a flash light to a gun fight" hehe. I don't know a pizza guy who hasn't been robbed. I was robbed at gun point, and needless to say it wasn't fun. Your life isn't worth the job. But the flashlight is great! I still use it when walking the dog at night. I'm getting one for my dad who owns a boat and goes out on the river at night. It really is good for the money and I've had mine a few years and it still works great. But if you are going to use it to deliver pizza, get a gun and a carry permit as well! Learn to use your gun. And please be aware of your surroundings! Or better yet just drive for Amazon.

and here it says 2200 lumens . I can tell you it isnt 2200 lumens at 10 watt

**Q: What is the beam distance?**
A: Not sure about the distance but it is light up the dark good. I live in a wooded area far for the city lights it gets good and dark here! and lights up as far as I can see clearly and it has two settings high and low low works good to. I have a old Qbeam Max Millon ll  2,000,000 candlepower and it is a lot heaver and don't get half the distance that the Stanley go.I buy it again. Hope this help you!

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A Great Spotlight For Anyone

The Stanley FatMax SL10LEDS is a versatile and effective tool and safety device. It has fulfilled my needs and has been extremely useful in a variety of situations. It’s quality, brightness, and functionality make it useful for everyone. Brightness: The light itself is extremely bright and works at long ranges. I have used this light for a couple of years and it has shined as far as I have ever needed it to. The spotlight has 2 brightness settings that can be chosen by pulling the trigger either once or twice. The brightest setting works for spotting things at long distances. In my experience, it can spot animals from over 150 yards. In my large backyard, this spotlight works to light up anything wandering around at night. The lower brightness still works as a spotlight but saves battery and also works as a flashlight. Battery: The battery life on this spotlight is very impressive. The light comes with AC and DC adapters for your home and car, as well as a red SOS lens. It takes several hours to charge to full battery but in my experience it will outlast the 7 hour claimed run time. The light will hold for months when not in use. It has a small LED that changes between green and red indicating battery life and charging status. Quality: The Stanley FatMax SL10LEDS is built tough and takes a beating well. It will survive drops and abuse without an issue. The case is rugged plastic and the lens is protected by a rubber seal. The light is not waterproof, however; I had to replace mine after dropping it in a creek. I have used it in the rain without any issues however. Uses: There are many reasons to own a handheld spotlight. It is tremendously useful for people who spend a lot of time outdoors. As a fisherman, this light helps me navigate lakes and river late at night. I use the light to spot trees, stumps and other hazards in the water. It helps locate boat docks and landings as well. This light also provides security. Using it will allow you to spot anything in your yard. It would be beneficial to have for any type of emergency situation. Owning a spotlight is something everyone should consider. The Stanley FatMax SL10LEDS is versatile, durable, and effective. It is a must-have for me and could be for you as well.
