This is sturdy and fun! But be aware that it is VERY large! We have to partially deflate it to fit in the trunk or seat of the car. Would do well in the back of a pickup if you can tie it down, but beware of hot vehicle metal - it melted a hole in the toy that required patching. Also, it is very helpful to have an air pump since it requires a lot of air.

A very fun addition to the pool! The first one we received did come with a very small pin hole so it deflate within an hour or so. I contacted them and explained what the issue was and they sent out a new one right then and there so we received the new one the next day. I appreciated this as most make you return the item before they resend out an replacement.

The Hoop Shark is an ok pool toy. It’s bigger than I thought even after I read all of the product info and knew the size. I aired it up using an air compressor. If you were to try by mouth like a balloon, you’ll probably pass out before you’re 10% into it. Make sure you have an air pump of some sort. I thought I read that it came with a weight to hold it in place in the pool, but none was supplied. I filled a half gallon milk container with rocks and water and used a string to tie it to the bottom of the toy. It works ok, but a relatively light wind will still drag it around. If you have a Polaris type of cleaner, you will need to pull the weight out whenever the cleaner is on. I thought I had the weight well out of the way, but my cleaner got tied up a couple of times. All in all, it’s an ok toy. If I were a better basketball player and swimmer, I might like it more. For the price, get it have fun…

This floating hoop has stood up to kids climbing on it, jumping on it, shooting hoops at it, etc. The ball that comes with this set feels like a real court basketball, but is slightly lighter in weight. This hoop is HUGE! We were surprised by the size, given the price. You definitely get what you pay for! It was easy to inflate and has not needed to be reinflated very often. We've had a few pool hoops and this one is by far the best one we've ever had. I would recommend this product!

I just received the shark pool basketball and so far so good. It actually inflates bigger than I expected. You need a pump to inflate it. I have a cheap inflatable toy pump that worked great... even though my arms will be sore tomorrow from all the pumping. A powered low-pressure pump would have made the work a lot easier. The basketball feels just like a real one - same rubber as the one I have for the court. It's a little smaller, but about the same weight and "nobby" feel as the real one. I'll test it out this evening and give an update... but so far it is better than expected. Update: After playing with it in the pool for a few days, it is working great. It hasn't turned over a single time, even in rough waters. With the center section inflated, it's almost like there is a suction holding it to the water. If you try to grab it and turn it over quickly on purpose, you have to break the suction before it will. During normal play it hasn't happened any.

Broke at the seam after a month of use. Patch sent with the product didn’t work on the seam. Return window closed then.

This product is definitely fun for pool play. It is quite large, which was a pleasant surprise (with an automatic air pump inflation was 15 total minutes out of the box). The basketball it comes with is the same quality of a typical indoor/outdoor basketball and floats. The problem is it does not retain air well. After inflation, immediately upon removing the airpump, air began rapidly leaving the device. There are four sections to inflate, and this issue is consistent throughout. So you need to be quick to close the inflation opening. The largest section (the bottom and main floating apparatus) deflated overnight and continues to lose air, requiring a daily refill for use. The other sections seem to be holding up better, but the air pressure and sturdiness have definitely decreased after just a few days. At the asking price we paid, roughly $33, it's a good enough value not to return it. However, I strongly recommend an automatic air pump due to the size.

This is a GREAT toy to buy if you plan on Slam dunking the ball a lot or just shooting! Comes with a ball, so there is no need to purchase one it just takes a little bit to blow up, but once its up its awesome
