Very absorbent and BIG
They are HUGE but that is what I LOVE about them. I purposely voided in them after drinking about 64 ounces of water, 2 sodas and yes, even a beer. These handled the load. Because I drink a ton a water running up to bedtime I had to be sure. But to be triple sure, I place these inside Depends Fit-Flex as well as sleep on top of a pad at night. Don't want to ruin my new top of the line temper medic mattress. If you do void in them the absorbency is excellent. Usually IF I void at night it will leave yellow marks on the pad, although that might be because my urine is concentrated. Anyway, much of the time when I wake up I don't see any indication that I voided. Probably overkill with all the protective measures and wasting money on something that I could probably get away without, it has passed the tests I purposefully put it. through. Peace of Mind is a wonderful thing. Because I live alone I don't have anyone to help put these on and laying down and trying to get everything in place is much too difficult. What I do is lay in place the large part of the pad on the edge of the bed with the smaller end hanging over the bed. Then, obviously, I pull down the pants or shorts to my knees, sit down on top of the pad and grab the small end of the pad and position the pad in front of the target area. As I remain seated I pull up my pants or shorts as much as I can until I have to stand up to finish pulling up the bottoms. The pad stays in place pretty much doing it this way. I adjust as needed and voila, it's lights out until morning. No worries, mess or fuss. Oh ya, these also don't crump up between the legs too badly unlike the 'guards' do. These pretty remain true to size after use

I Did the Research!!!
Tena has a great product, but their advertising sucks! This product, for instance, It's a Pad/Diaper. The earlier advertisements paired it with the pull-on pants that were made to accompany this product (I will try to insert pictures later). For the most part this is a 2-part system, it is not a diaper without the tabs, nor is it a pad like a sanitary napkin or pantyliner, but it is a unique incontinence pad, but you have to buy the pull-on pants to go with the pad. I have been wearing them since they came on the market and I lov'em! This is they only system that I don't have to worry about soiling my clothes, bed, chair, etc... I'm not questioning the absorbency nor do I second guess whether or not I will need to make sure I pack a change of clothes. I sleep all night and wake-up dry! At first I said, "Oh! this is a fluke, the next pack want be as good". I was wrong, I switch to this 2-part system and I have not looked back. The only disadvantage I found, so far, is the pull-on pants only come in a 2pk and after a couple of washes they are no good anymore. It kinda like they discenograte. Which is a good thing because I know just about when I need to replace them, and I usually order mines in bulk. This past month, I tried wearing one of the pull-up briefs with the pad. It was extremely bulky and took some getting use to, but in a pinch it works. So, now I have a backup and I found use for all those diapers I had that I could not use, because they were not absorbent enough (I was soiling my clothes trying to use them alone). So, If you are going to use these "Pads", they are a 2-part system. You will need to purchase the panty/brief that goes with it. Yes, it is sold on Amazon also. If you want to see the entire system go on the Tena website. Best choice I've made since becoming incontinent.

TERRIFIC PRODUCT. TEN STARS ๐คฉ๐คฉ๐คฉ๐คฉ๐คฉ๐คฉ๐คฉ๐คฉ๐คฉ๐คฉ
For those in need with heavy incontinence, this product is a lifesaver. It can be used by both women and men for urinary and fecal incontinence. It really can keep you dry and prevent embarrassing leaks. There are three thicknessesโฆ. DAY REGULAR (Blue), DAY HEAVY (Yellow), and NIGHT ULTRA HEAVY (green) which are very thick. You will wake up without leaks. You can use the thickness of choice as your bodily needs determine and change on a daily basis. They have NO ADHESIVE STRIP> THEY MUST BE WORN INSIDE YOUR SNUG FITTING UNDERWEAR. These pads make for very easy changes. If extra absorption is needed when wearing the day regular which is not too thick, just insert a smaller pad inside with adhesive. NOTEโฆthe thickness of these pads taper somewhat on the edges so they are not very visible when wearing the large pads. This is nothing like horrible diapers which are very noticeable. These are truly the most absorbent pads on the market and a Godsend for those in this level of need.

This is not a regular padโฆ itโs more like a diaper without closures. See photos.
I thought these were regular pads like I buy from Tena all the time โ but just a higher absorption. These are not that allโฆ no way to put these in the bottom of your underwear like other pads out there. I have other Tena incontinence pads in a 5 adsorption rate. But also in a 6 ie Supers for overnight if sick etc or if traveling and arenโt sure where rest stops might be. Those I donโt use daily, just too bulky to walk around all day with. I thought this was the same ie 6 which I have had before. And it calls it a pad, I mean thatโs what it says on the package. I thought they had changed the material, actually thought they made it in a foam or the beads like baby diapers so it could be thinner but absorb more. Not at all what this is. I donโt even know what this thing would be used forโฆ drying your car. This is a huge monster of a thing, not a pad at all. And there is no way to attach it to underpants pants even if it would fit. Even if you could somehow stuff it in, there isnโt anyway to attach it, no sticky like their normal pads are. I cared for my grandmother who was bedridden the last 3 years and used diapersโ not even in that would it work. Due to no attachment adhesive, it would have gotten all bunched up and not stayed in place with turning, shifting, etc. Laid open it is end to end 25โ long, over 2โ long. At what I think is the back portion, it is over 12โ, yes a foot wide. What would be the crotch area, it is approx 8-9โ wide. Itโs actually wider but itโs sorta of gathered so assume itโs the leg folds. As I say itโs a monster! The regular #5 absorption pad and #6 absorption sizes are as identified below. The #6 is a long length but thatโs all I could get at the time and wasnโt sure if it would be too long and it was, but it works in a pinch. I knew when I needed to reorder, I would just try to find the regular length like the 5โs @ 11.5โ regular length. The #5 is 11.5โ long and approx 4โ wide. Unfortunately the #6 is very long ie 14โ long and 4.5โ wide. Iโm a good size woman and I canโt even figure who would use this longer length. But then Iโm short and small through front to back so maybe other women would need the longer length. When I ordered this ProSkin, it seemed to be regular length because it didnโt mention regular or long, but it turned out not to be at all what I needed or wanted. As said, I thought this ProSkin thing, called a pad, would be like the other two I have ordered from Tena for over 10 years. I thought they had just upgraded it to a more modern core instead of the just plain layers of cotton. Donโt get me wrong, that plain cotton is comfortable, non irritatingโ itโs just in the event of a gusher, it canโt absorb the deluge quick enough. And it twists, because not enough adhesive to keep it firmly in place. I like the Tena pads, because most of the different products are just plain very adsorptive cotton, no chemicals, no fragrance, nothing to irritate in that way. They have an strip down the back, and under it is two lines of adhesive with nothing in the center. What I donโt like is I feel like the adhesive should be one wide line, and maybe even to have wings so it stays flat and to not twist. Because itโs thick cotton, and depending on what absorption level, it can twist up and after a long day or tossing and turning at night โ it can end up like 2โ wide in the center of your panties, which needless to say are wet. Sometimes I have to get up in the night and change everything out. And thatโs because it wonโt stay put. If it had a much more absorptive core (ie foam, or the beads like in baby diapers), and the wings, it would stay right where it was needed. Now I see foam used in some period pads, but there is a big difference in blood and in urine. So once you get to a higher stage of incontinence whether because of a stroke, or ADH, or kidney disease, etc., you really canโt use period pads, and need something like the Tena pads, or you can go to the briefs, or if bedridden, the adult diapers. Like I said, I donโt even see how this monster ProSkin pad would even work as a liner in an adult diapers as there is no way to adhere to the inside of the diaper so it would stay in place. Nothing is there. In the photo where it shows the 2 actual pads and lying on this monster item, you can really see the difference. Also, I donโt think they are putting that purple ink pattern in them anymore. Not sure, but itโs not in the #5 nor in the ProSkin. Maybe the ink bothered some folks. The #6 has higher absorption power at least in my opinionโ itโs just too bulky for moving around a lotโ and in my case the long length is too long. I hope this helps some folks with making a decision. The important thing to know is itโs not what I would call a pad by any shape of the imagination, even though they call it that. Best of luck.

Sleeping
This is an uncomfortable conversation, but there are far too many of us out there not to have it. My issue comes at night while I'm sleeping. My once 'as watertight as a ducks butt' is gone (sadly) and I'm having to adjust rapidly to the new 'hot shuffle' while awake and 'should I just be sleeping in the bathtub' issues at night. As I'm big on comfort, the tub is out, and pads are in. I'm diabetic so I drink a lot of water which means precautions need to be taken. These pads have pluses and minuses. They are great in holding a lot of 'water' and depending on your needs they might be enough for you. It's necessary for me to have pads on my bed too at protect my mattress. The one thing I'd change about these is I'd put adhesive at both ends to help keep them fixed in underwear. They're long which is perfect for sleeping but without adhesive I've had to jerry rig my own adhesive at both ends to make it work. I use panty liners to create tabs at both ends which works well for my needs but, it's a design flaw that really should be fixed so I don't have to do it in the first place. I'm not at the diapers stage yet and I like my underwear so here we are. Hey Tena, help me out will ya? Adhesive at both ends!!!

Absorbency is very great.
These have no adhesive strips on them which is perfect. I have been looking for pads with no adhesive for years. Most people probably think that is crazy. Let me say that my first impression was that these pads are ridiculously huge. I am in my 60's currently weigh 265 and have a large abdominal flap from weight loss and aging. Because of this pads that adhere to underwear don't work for me as the underwear can't be pulled up snug in the crouch area because the abdominal flap is blocking the way. So over the years it has been challenging to find menstrual pads and now incontinence pads that can be adapted to work on my body's dimensions. The front of the pad I have to fold over like a cuff and place it under my abdominal flap so it sits firmly in the crotch where it needs to be. These pads are super absorbent! Which is awesome for me as I have heavy incontinence. They could use more gathering but work well regardless. I wear these under my underwear which is okay but not ideal. Be patient it is challenging to find a comfortable and effective way to wear these pads in the crotch region because the pads are so wide and have thick padding. I assume they are made this way to keep the super absorbency. Now my search continues for some mesh underpants that fit well and can keep the pads snuggly in place even when they are full. Pads are very heavy when full.

We have tried everything for Our mother whom is bed bound and itโs been hit or miss! But these were a game changer! They work for full incontinence with no leaks at all. You can use them with anything (mesh underwear or an adult diaper. They are much larger than what I thought they were going to be but they do the job! They are also easy to use. The price is worth it. As your not having to deal with soiled bedding, ect. They make life easier for you and for the person wearing them. They are our go to product now for my mom.

TENA will save you laundry soap & time washing clothes! We all have better things to do!
If you have a problem like me, these are the BEST pads for incontinence. I've had multiple surgeries where catheterisation was necessary. Unfortunately, the catheters used were much larger than my urethra. These procedures as well as the surgeries themselves, have taken a toll, causing scar tissue to form & making it impossible to hold my pee. I often don't make it to the bathroom in time, soiling myself in the attempt. During the day, my problems lessen, but nighttime is a whole other story! The Tena 2-part system is a fantastic product for those who have a serious incontinence issue in the overnight hours. Please, believe me, I've tried everything & for nighttime incontinence, Tena has made a difference for me.
