I suggest you look at the Blunt website to see the technology they put into the product. It hasn't rained yet, but I have no doubt it will perform. It is effortless to open, close, and most importantly, is not like walking with a porcupine over your head. More seriously, it is just sweet. Think of some high quality brands like Surefire, Lexus, Magpul, Okuma, Felder, Powermatic, CAMaster, Apple, Bose, and so on... This is a high quality brand. Buy it once, you will be happy.

This thing is heavy, solid and makes all the other umbrellas very jealous on a rainy day. Also, the fact that it is so expensive makes me careful about leaving it in a restaurant. Put it in your cart. If your wife takes it out and says it is ridiculous to buy a 100 $ umbrella, just keep putting it back in your cart until she gives up. You'll be happy you did.

I saw the viral marketing campaign video for this umbrella and instantly wanted to try one out. So, after using it a few times, the umbrella is fantastic. The design is quite sturdy; feels like it could be used for self defense if need be and then still function properly. It is little on the heavy side, but it's almost like the weight is balanced so it's not so taxing to hold upright. Also, the fabric dries really quickly, which was a very nice surprise. The only issue is that this thing just costs so much money for an umbrella. I only purchased this umbrella because I had reward points built up to buy it with. Definitely a good expenditure of points; just not sure I'd fork over the $100 or so straight up for it. But yeah, great product. Only reason I'm knocking a star off is for the price. But if you've got the cash to burn on it, go for it.

Already have two others, but bought this black one so I can use it with my military uniform. Great umbrella's (Blunt); I would highly recommend getting it as I have used mine for years. This one even comes with a carrying case too that you can carry the umbrella over your shoulder in it's case while it's not raining if you're waiting for a rainy day out and about.

It really does hold up well in a storm. I had read a positive review in the Wall Street Journal, and bought it on that basis. I live in Minnesota, and my joke is that we don't have weather, we have bi-polar climate disorder. We have fierce thunderstorms with hail and occasional tornadoes and "straight line winds" up to 60 miles an hour in a straight line. I went from the building I work in to the parking lot in rain and straight line wind of 58 miles and hour and this umbrella held fast and was not bent out of shape.

I'm really disappointed in this umbrella. I've had it for just over 2 months, and have used it 3 times, and this morning the handle that pushes the umbrella open already broke (detached) and now I can't use it to close the umbrella. For such an expensive product, I expected better quality.

This is a high quality product that does it's job and looks good while doing it. I was tired of buying umbrellas from time to time to replace which ever one broke and decided I wanted to spend a little more on something with some quality, this has fit the bill. Nothing cheap feeling or looking about it. No complaints and I've found it worth the price, would buy again.

Der Schirm sieht sehr gut. Die Werbung verspricht eine super Stabilität bei Sturm. Der Preis hält sich im grünen Bereich. Die Lieferung ging wie immer sehr schnell. Der Schirm macht tatsächlich einen sehr robusten und qualitativ hochwertigen Eindruck, bietet für 2 Personen sehr viel Platz. Er ist aber vom Gewicht her nicht zu unterschätzen. Ich werde ihn beim nächsten Sturm in Travemünde ausprobieren. Insgesamt bin ich sehr zufrieden. Für den normalen Regen ist er viel zu schade und aufgrund des Gewichtes eher unpraktisch.

Schade eigentlich, dass die meisten Leute immer alles nur in billig haben wollen. Insbesondere gilt das für Regenschirme. Ich kenne niemanden und habe auch noch nie jemanden gesehen, der einen augenscheinlich richtig hochwertigen (nicht teuren - hochwertigen!) Regenschirm hat. "Den kann man ruhig liegen lassen oder verlieren..." Auf einen Blunt passt man natürlich eher so auf als wäre es ein Schmuckstück. Dabei wollte der Blunt wohl gar kein solches sein. Elegant sieht er trotzdem aus. Sportlich-elegant würde ich sagen. Und wenn man sich dann mal das Stück in Ruhe anschaut merkt man warum der keine 10€ kostet. Diese Verarbeitung ist makellos. Da ist jedes Detail durchdacht und er ist unheimlich stabil. Obwohl er keinen Knopf hat zum Auslösen und auch keinen zum Arretieren lässt er sich leicht öffnen und schließen. Aufgespannt rastet er deutlich hörbar ein und bleibt auch so, egal wie stark man von oben Gegendruck erzeugt. Aber kurz an der Arretierung am Stab gezogen und schwupps klappt er zusammen. Clever. Keine dürren Drahtstäbe, die beim kleinsten Wiederstand brechen oder sich verbiegen. Und das allerwichtigste: Keine abstehenden Augenausstecher. Keine Verletzungsgefahr. Gut, den Spitzen der Billigheimer bleibt man leider weiterhin ausgeliefert. Bis die EU mal eine entsprechende Richtlinie heraus gibt, die diesen Mist verbietet muss man halt damit leben, hat aber immerhin das gute Gewissen, dass man für andere keine Gefahr darstellt. Schluss mit den Wegwerf-Regenschirmen! Kaufen Sie sich bitte einen Blunt! I love it!
