DO NOT BUY! Dangerous!
Disappointed! I have owned this power strip for eight months. I do not use the power strip often. It gets only occasional use. All three receptacles are loose and plugs easily fall out. The receptacle third from the top has now stopped working completely (i.e., it provides no electric). The product looks great, and I love the faux wood appearance. That said, I CANNOT recommend this power strip.Update: 2 out of three outlets provide no electric. And 1 of 2 USB ports do not provide charge. This product should get a ZERO.

No Actual UL Certification!!
On the ad they claim a UL94 V-0 safety certification, which is why I bought the strip. However there are no markings of any safety certifications on the strip, just that it is made in China. I would not trust this to be a safe powerstrip in the event of anything going wrong

Great Looking Power Strip
What a world we live in. I needed something VERY specific: A three-outlet, right-angle, power strip with one or more USB ports that wasn't too big or obnoxious (because it wouldn't be hidden). Sure enough, here it is on Amazon, cheap, with wood finish, and with Prime Shipping. Liked it so much, I bought two more. Highly Recommended.

DANGEROUS. Outlets are too loose, sorry to say
Update: this thing is now too dangerous to use. The plugs will no longer stay in it they just fall out that loose of a fitting will cause excess heat and can start a fire. I’m throwing it away. Ive had this for a few months and was mainly using the USB ports. Im now just noticing that the female electrical outlets are very loose. If you plug a 3 way grounded cord in its fine but any large 2 prong items like a MacBook charger will just fall out. This is not only aggravating but also unsafe because a loose fitting causing heat and will in time damage the plugs. Too bad this this is really heavy duty and attractive but unsafe.

Attractive and Functional AC Switch Box / USB Hub
As the title suggests, I didn’t buy this to serve as a surge suppressor. Past experience tells me that a really good surge suppressor would come with a higher price tag. However, this power strip serves as an attractive and switchable AC power center for plugging in AC/DC converters (typically employed to power small electronic devices). There’s also two USB ports if needed. While I’d rather not clutter up the bedroom dresser with electronic gadgets, at least this one is somewhat attractive and doesn’t take up a lot of space. As may be apparent from the attached photo, the device provides power for an Amazon Firestick and an HDMI switch-box. (Both serve a TV some distance away.)Some specifics: Length 9”. Width about 2.5”. Height less than 1”. The 9.5’ black power cord looks and feels quite substantial. A switch at at one end of the device toggles power on/off, lighting up orange to indicate “on”. There are two USB ports at the far end. The three AC outlets appear to be of substantial build and are far enough apart so that plugged-in “box like” AC/DC converters have plenty of room. (Outlets cannot be switched on/off individually.) Mine is the “red” color option, but it’s hardly red. “Red mahogany” maybe. Whatever it’s called ... the color goes well with my bedroom decor. These are made of hard plastic, but they’ve done a decent job crafting a “wood effect”.One of the photos is of the bottom of the device which displays some specs. I cannot locate any UL (or other underwriters certification) on the device or in the packaging - although it is FCC certified for radio interference. While I’m personally not overly concerned about the absence of UL certification for my application, I understand why that might deter some prospective buyers. And it is the reason I’ve taken one point off my rating.QUICK UPDATE: 4/20/21. After 2 months of continuous use there have been absolutely no problems with this item. No overheating, no blown fuses, no falling-apart, etc. In fact, I recently purchased a second one. The second one also services a couple USB-C charging cables, and the devices connected continue to operate normally. (Caveat: the switch is normally left in the “on” position, plugged in devices are left plugged in and the device doesn't get moved around much. )

Looks Great
This power strip is awesome. I was tired of looking at the ugly black power strip next to my couch. I use it to plug my laptop in so I can use it on the couch but man, what an eyesore. This wood grain one looks great and blends in with my wooden side table . I love that it has the USB ports so when my friends come over and sit on that side they can plug their phones or whatever in. The L shaped plug is also awesome because it allowed me to be able to move my leather couch back closer to the wall without getting the plug indent in the leather.Sound purchase for sure.
