X-Stream 4-Pattern Telescoping Watering Tool

We live where leaves are not a problem, but do have a few pine trees around. Blowing dust, dirt and the sand-like particles from composite shingle roofing will also build up in the gutters. Our gutters hadn’t been cleaned for years. Our gutters are about 12 feet up, and we’re too old to be climbing up an extension ladder. Saw this Orbit wand and had to try it. Glad I did. With full extension,, arms stretched, the correct fan spray, and slowly moving down the gutter to the downspout, it flushed everything down and out. That includes old pine needles. No ladder required. It’s strong built, clicks to lock in extension position, doesn’t leak and has the thumb on-off lever. The spray was powerful just using garden hose water pressure. MINIMUM cost to have a company clean our gutters one time, is $100. For under $30 I can clean them a often as I want. Good product and does a surprisingly good job.

I bought this to replace a smaller watering wand that apparently had aluminum fittings. After leaving it connected to the hose for too long, the couplings got stuck together from galvanic corrosion. This watering tool (the one I'm reviewing) has a plastic coupling at the hose end. So the connector won't corrode and fuse onto your brass hose end, but on the other hand, it's probably not too durable either. Adding a pair of quick-connect fittings (so you're seldom screwing/unscrewing it) might help.The tool is well designed, though. It came with no instructions so it took me a few minutes to figure out how to work the telescoping feature. You have to flip a little lever to release it (not turn the black plastic rings, as I tried to do at first.) Once you do that, it has a nice long reach. That and the swiveling head make it very useful for cleaning siding or gutters from a step ladder positioned a little way out from the wall. I did not see any leaks at the hose end, but the head did dribble a bit. Another lever (near the hose end) turns the water flow on and off.It came inside a cardboard shipping box with absolutely no internal packing materials. Well it didn't break in transit, so that's less stuff I need to toss or recycle. Made in Taiwan. If I could find one with this design, brass fittings, and made in USA, I'd gladly pay double (because I'm tired of buying cheap stuff that only lasts a couple seasons). If you remember to drain the water and don't leave it in out in the sun, then maybe this one will prove more durable.

Used it to blow out leaves last fall and it was fine. Needed to blow out a combination of oak worms and maple helicopters this spring and it just doesn't dislodge them. Probably should have purchased a leaf blower attachment instead.

Used it to clean out my gutters after a new roof was installed. Worked like a charm. When fully extended it is a little unwieldy for someone my size because it has a fairly powerful spray. The shutoff glide at the bottom is very convenient. I've since used it to wash the outside of the house, windows and all. I really like this tool.

I had a similar tool for many years. I used it to clean my gutters, wash the top of my truck's cap, and the top of my camper. I used it a lot. I was very sad when it broke. I couldn't find one in the home improvement store where I had purchased it so I tried this one. WOW! This one is so much better! It has different spray settings. It extends longer than my old one. It is SO sturdy! I was impressed with the pressure! I can't say enough about this handy tool! If you are on the fence don't hesitate to give it a try! You won't return it.

For short people, it’s a bit unwieldy. However, it does have a good telescopic feature and provides a good spray.

The quality of this wand is really good. The wand can extend really long, only downside is that its abit heavy. But good wand.
