My daughter was looking for a 4x6 inch sketch book with spiral binding (which is difficult to find in that size) and we were very excited to find this one, but we were very disappointed when it arrived and the perforation (where you should be able to tear the page from the book and which SHOULD be next to the spiral-inside-side, so that you can tear the page out and have a clean edge instead of all the little bits from the spiral) was on the WRONG side of the paper. It was on the outside edge instead of near the spiral binding. So now if you tear a page out you have to cut the spiral torn bits off the one side if you don't want it to be jagged, which in itself wouldn't be a big deal, but the perforation goes down the outside edge of the paper so you have to tear that off too and so you end up with a much smaller piece of paper. Or if you try to leave it on, you have a weird line down the side of your paper and it's a weak spot that easily tears (since that's what it's supposed to do!).

First off, I ordered a Pro-Art sketchbook, but the one I received was stamped "Premieré by Nicole" in gold foil. I'm not sure if this is just a re-branding or if I was sent an entirely different product, but regardless, what I received was not as advertised. I do like the size of the book and I did not have any issues with the perforation being on the wrong side, as another reviewer did. However, I bought this for graphite and colored pencil sketches and was disappointed that the paper is far too smooth for either. Even soft pencils like Prismacolor Premiere appear light and streaky on this paper, which is quite strange for a product calling itself a "sketchbook." Maybe it would be better suited for ink pen use. Either way, I'm apparently stuck with it, as it is not returnable.

I have used many of these sketchbooks over the last few years, and they’re perfect for drawing or writing in. The paper is bright white. The perforation allows each page to be easily and neatly removed. The spiral binding allows the book to be opened flat, or folded around so the covers lie flat against each other. I use a pen that has a clip, and it fits into and clips onto the metal spiral. This sketchbook is a great size to carry around and keep a pen in. My only caution with buying this is that it wasn’t packed well. Our nearest warehouse is only a few miles away, and when I pulled it out of the envelope it was shipped in, the back cover was bent pretty badly. I’m not too fussy because I bought it for myself, but if it were a gift, I’d have had to go through the hassle of replacing it. I bent it flat again and fixed the somewhat crushed wire spiral. Not pretty but it works. I just thought you should know.

This was the perfect size for a mini scrapbook that I was making. The pages are thick, but not too think like some sketch books are. The markers I used didn't bleed through to the other side, the pages didn't get caught on the spiral, and the cover was in perfect condition. Would buy again!

Perfect purse size for sketching on the go. Good for pen, pencil and a little water color.

I bought this to start a visual journal, and it's perfect. It's a nice size, and you can slip a pen and pencil in the spiral for portability. At first, I was sad that it would only be 80 sheets, but that's actually a lot. It's about an inch thick, if that helps. This journal is very good for its price.

Straight out of the packaging there is no back cover and the teeth for the binding are all messed up. I like the paper and the perforated edges are nice, but I can’t use this book how I needed to without the cover, as it may not survive my bag.

I bought these to make autograph books for Disney and they are perfect! I wasn't sure what size to get and I went with the 4 x 6. They are the perfect size, not too small like I thought they might be.
