In regards to the content, he book explains the concepts of criminal well and it is fairly easy to understand. The content is well separated into chapters as to avoid confusion.As for the book itself, the only criticism is that spine of the book is weak and bends easily and does not hold up well. I’ve only been using it for about 3 months and the spine is not holding up that well.

Excellent book for 1st-year law students - it is highly readable and everything is clearly explained. The book also includes online resources - practice problem questions, youtube videos, multiple choice quiz questions and summaries. It is current and up to date, with a reform suggestion section at the end of each chapter. It is a basic, but core textbook for Criminal Law foundations. Arrived in great condition.

Compared to the vast majority of law books, the writing style is easy to follow, concise and informative and it's not so big you need to hire a studio flat to store it in - like the vast majority of law books.Highly recommended.

Required book for my law university degree. Purchased new and it came with dents and marks on the book. I would have understood had it been a couple from shipping but it's quite a few. Disappointed as the quality is lacking and I had no choice but to buy the book, and it turns out that this quality is normal from other reviews.

I bought this for my daughter who is studying Law... this book seems to be the recommend book for her first year.
