I love the crossbow but started getting a bit annoyed losing arrows after shots due to them being so difficult to track (especially with most shots happening early morning and evening light conditions). I figured it was worth it to try getting illuminated nocks to try to not have to get quills on a yearly subscription. In doing some research and speaking with a friend that put them on himself, I figured there were some things that could go wrong with heating the old nocks incorrectly and weakening the arrow, so I decided to order quills with the illuminated nocks already installed. My friend, who did them himself, had an arrow break on release and he thinks it was due to him installing them incorrectly and the bolt weakening. Anyways, I have yet to lose a bolt and have downed 2 or 3 deer so far with them!
