9 pc BLK CHRM Non-Reversible Combo Ratchet Wrench Set-Spline

I got these about a month ago because I work in a food manufacturing plant and require good quality tools for literal every-day maintenance and part changes on the heavy machinery I work with. My company provides us with basic wrenches and screwdrivers but I wanted a nice wrench set with a ratcheting feature. After doing a little research and talking to a friend of mine who is a HVAC installer, he very quickly recommended the Stanley Proto name. I'm very pleased that he did, because, even though it's only been a month, these wrenches get HEAVY use on large industrial machinery as I said just about every single day and I've yet to see any signs of wear and tear and the ratcheting mechanisms are still working perfectly with very little slack. Despite ratcheting them hundreds of times already, they still work the same as the day I unboxed them. Very impressed with my new wrench set...I highly recommend

First spline wrenches for me got them on the open box deals for very good price. Only knock made in Taiwan but they are good quality wrencheswill update as time goes on12/19/2017 update no issues at all they work flawless even put a breaker pipe on one to bust a nut lose it took the pain.12/19/2018 update st besides a few scratches and some wears spots on finish still no issues Top Quality tool.

Disappointed, Proto, still charging made in America prices, but yet another tool actually made overseas. their website really tries to emphasize that their tools are made in the USA, even claiming to have brought back some of the manufacturing of tools like these, but these still say made in Taiwan on every wrench. If I want something made in Taiwan I could save about $100 off this price, on lots of brands. Immediate return, I will go with SK.

Good wrenches, but I ended up with 2 9/16 and no 5/8...which is fine because I use way more 9/16 at work but would have liked to have the 5/8 as well. Product is good, but incomplete set

I was given several sets of these Proto ratcheting wrenches to use at work. I sneered at first, because I have the beautiful Blue-Point sets at home and these say "Proto" on the side (yes I am a tool snob), but when I had them in my hands for about 3 seconds, that changed to awe. They are beautifully made and finished, and work superbly. They are actually nicer than the Blue-Point sets that come off the Snap-on truck! The black finish, and the extra lock on the flex head ones, and the perfect "flank-drive" head shapes, and the incredible feel of these in your hands, add up to the best mechanical wrenches you can buy. Like Snap-On's Blue Point sets, these are actually manufactured in Taiwan by Neiko. Neiko used to make Gear Wrench too, back when they were good, but now those are made in China and not quite so nice. Anyway, these black Protos (all of them, flex head, reversible, spline, etc.) are the very nicest mechanical wrenches I have ever seen and I love using them.

These are absolutely fantastic. High build quaility easily recognized out of the gate.Not a shill review. Will update after a few more years of use.
