ESSEyewear 5B Sunglasses Polarized Mirror, Grey

Use to only wear Oakley's. After having issues with the Oakley Minute's frame breaking off at the ear piece I went with their Gas Cans with polarized lenses. Only a year into owning them and there was film that was peeling off the lenses. Reminded me of cheap plastic wrap style auto tint. Ever since then I have switched to the ESS B5 polarized sunglasses. I have a limited edition 9/11 pair with gray frames and black polarized lenses and this pair. The added bonus of the E5's over other brands of glasses is they are also safety rated. I wear these glasses for everyday use to include doing yard work. They have protected my eyes several times from debris flying up and hitting my face while using a weed wacker/trimmer.

No complaints....these glasses look and feel great. Although, I can't seem to find replacement lenses since the frames are very sturdy. The cost increased significantly since i bought these in Afghanistan AAFES for around $40 back in 2011. Either way, love them!

This is the second pair I've owned (last pair was stolen/went missing). Look good to wear regularly, durable, Z87+, scratch resistant, and polarized. My alternate pair of safety glasses caused eye strain after wearing for a couple hours, these have not.

Had mine 4 one year ~ VERY lite weight & Comfy..!!!! Use as shooting glasses - have worn these daily & they're perfect, except 1 tiny negative - they cause sweating b/c they're too 'hugging' to face, but all you have to do is shift them out, along your nose (1/2") & you're "Good To Go!"

Amazing glasses, you can tell they're high quality right of the box. If you look up videos of these glasses on YouTube, you'll see that they can stop a .22lr bullet. Not too tight, not too loose.... Just perfect, like a 17 year old girl. But I digress. I wish these were a tad wider in the width department, but that's no big deal.

Preferred choice for door kickers.Lite. But strong.

Mi sono piaciuti molto, una bella linea di ottima fattura.Li consiglio8/4/2019 - Ad alcuni mesi di distanza devo rivedere la mia recensione su questo prodotto. Alcuni giorni fa, mentre pulivo le lenti con il panno in microfibra in dotazione, nella lente sinistra è apparso un alone che da molto fastidio alla vista. E' come se la parte a specchio esterna si sia consumata, non so dare altra spiegazione. Utilizzo anche altri modelli di occhiali da sole, non i è mai capitata una cosa del genere emai mi sarei aspettato che succedesse proprio a questi occhiali.19/4/2019 ritorno ad aggiornare la mia recensione. Ho contattao il supporto del produttore tramite il loro sito, ho spiegato loro cosa mi era successo e gli ho inviato le foto degli occhiali come riscontro. ESS si è dimostrata essere una compagnia molto seria, con un'assistenza clienti eccellente. Mi hanno inviato degli occhiali nuovi per sotituire quelli in mio possesso che sicuramente avevano un difetto non consono con la qualità dei loro prodotti. Non posso che riportare il mio giudizio a 5 stelline.

Protective properties aside (which are exemplary and are covered in depth on ESS's site), these are probably the best fitting sunglasses I've owned. The curve of the wrap is is quite aggressive so they sit quite close to the face, and (for me) have just a small gap along the brow and above the cheekbone to provide good airflow. The frames are sturdy and light, and the hinges on the frame are quite solid. The lenses are excellent and the polarization is incredibly good at dealing with glare.Even if you don't need the level of protection offered by these glasses, I would still recommend them if your are looking for a pair of sunglasses that can take a bit of beating.

I should have gone with a darker lens as these do not cut it in bright/ full sun. I like how they wrap and protect from the sides and do not find that they impair peripheral vision. I do find them tight above my ears and I don't have an overly big melon but they don't slip off either.

Excellent safety glasses for at work, great for driving and very comfortable. Polarized lenses cut glare and work well on the water.On my third pair in 5 years. Replaced as needed when lenses scratched after everyday use. Very tough and will buy again.

I've had these glasses for a while now and I can't say enough good things about them. Optical quality is excellent and being polarized is a bonus. I bought these especially for range use but I've been wearing them every day. Lightweight and high quality materials are used throughout. Highly recommended.
