After removing it from the box I see just the wood on the bottom and one of the silicone? dots on the bottom plus patches of glue. The brass bottom was in the box. Instead of returning it and having the same problem I cleaned off the glue and used a good adhesive. This is not an isolated occurrence judging from reviews.
