My husband and I read this together and enjoy it with a smile. I just purchased it as a Christmas gift for a newlywed couple in their late sixties who'd never seen it. They love it too! Really a comprehensive "marriage manual," as we used to call such books. A love-making guide covering everything from how to bathe, to flowers in the bed, to positions and ensuring your partner's pleasure. Poetic translation and lovely illustrations in the old Indian style representative of the 2000 year old Vatsayana classic treastise.

Not what I was expecting, but still a good book. Interesting illustrations and passages! Nice conversation piece for the coffee table 😅

Sexy!

I was expecting a pretty good edition of the actual Kama Sutra text, which it is. I was also expecting the artwork to be both more relevant to the appropriate parts of the book, not merely random, poor examples of Indian erotic art. Given India's rich artistic history and brilliant executions of erotic painting and stonework, this left me unfulfilled and confused as to its textual relevance. Like finding a random family photo in an Ikea furniture manual.

I gave this to a good friend who's getting married. I haven't heard from him since.

Bought two copies as a gift for someone and they loved it

The book is boring and dry. It essentially condones rape through forcing, conning and tricking as well as adultry. But informative of how that culture lives their lives in the home marriage and bedroom. It does not give advice on how to have someone fall in love with you or building romance in your current relationship. Lacks a variety of sex positions for use.
