This exfoliating scrub by Amazon Basics is every bit as good as the name brand scrub. It’s a great product for a good price.

This face scrub is nicely thick, feels like a watered down clay to me, and has lots of very finely ground particles from apricot pits. It's easy to regulate how much of a scrub by how much pressure you use washing your face. I find this to be just right, it doesn't irritate my skin at all, and I have normal/dry older skin. Washing off is easy and again, I would liken the feel to washing off a clay mask. Others here have said it has an unpleasant smell, I do not. It's like they've tried to make it a citrusy smell, but doesn't quite hit the mark. It's not strong, and I have no issue with the smell. Such a great value. It doesn't leave my skin dry, but I do allows follow with a creme

I want to say that I have mixed feelings about putting this on my face but that would be a total understatement. To give you a little insight, I’ve been using the Kylie Skin walnut face scrub since May of last year. I used the walnut face scrub once a day, 3-4 times a week and I’m still in love with it. However, I was looking for a more budget-friendly alternative and I gave this one a try. What I love is, it does everything my other walnut face scrub did but it doesn’t make my skin feel stripped or dry (the Kylie skin did a little bit). It checked all my boxes in regard to why I bought the product! HOWEVER—upon my first time using it, I squeezed a bit of the scrub onto my hand and I was hit with this overwhelming scent of straight vomit. I couldn’t even believe it, I literally had to keep smelling it and it definitely smelled like something I’ve thrown up before. I did debate whether or not I should even put it on my face but, for whatever reason, I was feeling optimistic and lathered it into my pores and I LOVED it. It does NOT leave that smell lingering on my face. That would be the definite dealbreaker for me. But as you rub it in the smell goes away. I also use a multitude of other products after that one, so any excess gets wiped away. I’m telling myself that naturally made products don’t typically have scents because those scents are often artificially created using harsh chemicals that can be harmful to your skin. So maybe the use of more earthy, organic ingredients is causing the scent?? Maybe it’s just me? Maybe I should stop using it???! I dunno, anywho, my skin feels great, the scrub works great and it smells like barf. Do with that, what you will. Lol

Why only 3 stars? Because it stinks. I don't mean mildly. This stuff smells awful. I didn't have great expectations of this product, but it seems to be doing a good job of gentle exfoliation. My face feels smooth after use. But surely something can be done about the awful smell. It smells like something rotten or decaying. If you can get around the odor, this is a good product. Let's just say I'm challenged with each use to see how long I can hold my breath to avoid the stench.

Love the smell and works great for a good price. Will continue to buy, makes skin feel clean, I use it weekly and love it.

I absolutely love this scrub. It has a very creamy texture, and you can really feel the exfoliating particles—unlike other brands that feel like they’re mostly soap. Even though it’s thick, it’s still very gentle on the skin and a little goes a long way. I’ve seen some people comment about the scent, but I found it to be very subtle, almost unnoticeable. It has a light peachy note, but it’s not strongly fragranced. Once you rinse it off, there’s no lingering smell on your face, which I actually think is great.
