Unexpectedly good
For £6.99 I wasn’t holding out much hope for a solution for mounting the front light on my new bike. However, this seemed worth a try and I’m really impressed. It’s mounted solidly to my bars with a thin shim (mine are 31.8mm) and doesn’t move at all. Obviously you need to bear in mind it’s thin aluminium so be careful with the bolts (ie don’t over tighten and risk stripping the threads). I then cut down the mounting tube as I only needed room for my front light and it’s solved my problem of how to centre mount the light and make it work with hydraulic brake hose routing and my Quadlock phone mount. For the money, absolutely spot on.

dont overtighten the screws
this would of been better if it was a bit longer for me . only just did the job i needed it for . getting 5 stars anyway because its not the products fault its the old mans eyes that couldnt see the size fault.

Gives me room for my light after fitting my swytch
This is a very useful product - the reason for 4 stars rather than 5 stars is because the plastic caps at the end of the bar are a poor fit and fall out.

Could be worse
The spacing collars to attach to the handlebars are plastic and don't offer much grip so this kept falling down. Luckily I had some rubber strips laying around and managed to get this to a usable position

Simple and effective
This is an effective, reasonably priced handlebar extension. I added rubber shims from an old inner tube and also a second mounting bracket (these are pretty generic, so one from a previous extension was exactly the same) as I have a fairly heavy front light and an ebike screen, and it's works a treat with the extra grip on the handlebars. Ok, I had to add / modify, but the result is a robust, strong mount that's good value for money.

Dont waste your money
Doesnt fit on my road bike. The parts supplied were impractical and doesnt fit tightly enough to the bar so keeps coming loose or slipping out of place. The screw broke and ended up having to snap the bracket off my handlebar. Very disappointed.

If you're fitting a Swytch bike kit to a drop handlebar bike you may need this
I got a Swytch electric bike kit and got stuck fitting the speed controller on my bike as the diameter of the handlebars was too big. It was actually Swytch who suggested this to get around the issue and it works a treat. It also had space to fit my light too. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who has accessories that don't fit their handlebars. It also comes with spacers to help you to get it to fit a range of bar sizes.

Mixed review
If you want it for an addition to your handlebars to load up a computer or something lightweight and similar, then it will be absolutely fine, but regrettably I bought it for me to rest my hands on in a more 'sit up' riding position, every now again on a long ride. (A bit like bar ends) The joint support is way too thin and weak and it twists with any kind of weight on it. It is also virtually impossible to tighten it onto your bars without sliding loose as the screw are tiny. If the handle tube is off centre in relation to the support arm, then it is next to useless as it simply bends. My fault I suppose for being too creative, but it is definitely too delicate for what I'd intended. As a gadget store however....great.
