New but not really new.
I had this exact camera which worked well - it just wore out. So when time came to get a new little travel camera I ordered the same product. It was a birthday gift to myself. This camera is not a cheap kid's camera. This "new" camera is terrible quality. I put "new" camera in quotes because when I turned it on it had someone's baby pictures on it! The battery does not last very long, the little automatic shield over the lens does not always open all the way but will open manually if I realize something is wrong. But the picture quality is terrible and most photos are blurry. So I am unhappy with this product. How can I make this right. I can't use the camera this way. Valerie Wojdat

Awsome camera!
This camera was just awsome. I LOVE the panoramic function it has. Its takes very nice panoramic pictures and 99% of them came out with no overlapping or shadows. Dont know how they do it but they certainly did it well on this one. Pictures quality was very good. I actually have a Cannon DLSR and pictures were "comparable" to human eye if you just expected them to be use for normal picture frame (no design or photograpy quality). Advance or manual mode on it had what I needed for certain situations. The auto scene mode seems to work very well also since all my pictures came up perfect. I seemed to find it balanced in terms of picture quality, ease of use and appealing to advance users. For this price, It is a great buy.

Good but incomplete
Came used with a few scratches but in great condition over all. Brought no instructions manual, no memory card, and no USB cable which seems completly unfair based on the prize and no specifications about that.

16.1 mega-poor quality
The camera takes ok pictures when the conditions are optimal. Even when trying to adjust manually the settings, performance still suffers. The shutter is very slow, too slow for practical use. The LCD display is of poor quality. Feels cheaply made. Zoom noise is loud when shooting video. Video quality grainy. This camera would be a good starter camera for a 5 year old child. Sony really went cheap on the manufacturing of this camera. I thought I was buying a quality Sony product but ended up with a generic Sanyo instead.

Excellent purchase!
This little camera is my favorite, I dropped and broke my first one so I was so happy to find a replacement. It takes great pictures, I use a lot of telephoto zooming and I am very happy with the quality. I love the small profile and the beautiful red color. Very happy with the seller, fast delivery and the camera is pristine.

Owner's Manual-unable to print
I had a canon powershot A720IS which took great pictures and was pocket-sized. I wanted to upgrade the optical power from 6X to 10X or higher and have gone through several cameras that had poor picture quality. This camera took OK pictures but not as good as the powershot I had. The deal breaker was that the owner's manual was only in html format and not pdf so it could not be downloaded in its entirety-only 1 page at a time! The customer should have the option of downloading it if one so desires. The shorter instruction manual that now comes with all the cameras does not answer all your questions.

It's a great camera but optical zoom is so so
I love the features of this camera. It captures great pictures and it's user friendly. I didn't give a 5 star because I am not satisfied with the zoom or probably it's just me who has this problem. When I tried to zoom it 10x it won't capture steady. I don't know if there's something I need to do. It would turn blurry and the subject is hardly recognizable. But overall this is a great product.

Not happy at all with this camera!
I have had this camera for nearly a year now and am not happy at all. When I purchased it I went on the reviews, back then, they were all basically good. If I knew what I know now, I would never have purchased this camera. I can take 4 pictures on auto setting in a row and only 1 will come out decent. How can that even happen? Nothing changed? The shutter speed is horrible. There is a long lag time between shots. Gee maybe that is why they come out blurry, natural lighting has changed in the minutes it has taken to take the 4 pictures! I have pets, I cannot take pictures of them even with the Pet setting. I love to take pictures of fireworks, you can forget that with this camera. If you do not have the perfect lighting, you will not get a decent picture. There are times that it takes a while for the lens to even come out when I go into zoom mode, almost as if the camera isn't recognizing it what it has to do. I have never experienced this with any other camera I have owned, and I have owned many in my (many) years of taking pictures (how many can say they remember the brownie camera lol). I cannot recommend this camera to anyone but a child learning to shoot . It's not worth the money. It has gone down in price drastically since I purchased and I can see why. This is a disgrace to the Sony name! Sony has much cheaper camera's that take better pictures than this one. My daughter will be getting married in May. I am currently looking for a camera that I know I can rely on, not one that takes 1 out of 4 pictures that come out clear.
