When we load dirt bikes in the truck and water for boondocking we are probably around 10k. We got the 10-15k hitch and glad I did as it is perfect. We have had this for around a year now with about 10,000 miles so far and the only wear I am seeing is the L brackets for the tension rods as the rods do sit on these and are metal to metal contact for friction. I think this may be a wear item that will need to be replace every other year or so, or if they start wearing through too much. Pictures included. Well designed and well built. Installation was as to be expected. If you do it right it takes some time, but the result is a rig that tows reliably with a great degree of stability. One positive note that doesn't have to do with the product, but rather service. My assembly showed up with the snap-up handle missing. It probably slid out through the end of the carton which was damaged. I called Curt and spoke to Nate. Even though I bought the unit through a third party vendor on Amazon, Curt shipped me a new handle free of charge. Most surprising was it arrived in 36 hours.
