The gauge is not accurate. One review stated the wire got hot and another claimed the cyl got hot. Neither occurred, the air hose metal coupling did get hot but this is normal when compressing a gas such as air. Review: Dangerous Design **** - It's hard to find a cheap reliable pump! I though this one is all good until I notice the power supply cable got very hot. I was pumping my tire from 25 to 45 in 3 min, nice right? Then it started to smell and I got burn from checking the fuse. Later confirm with a temperature probe and it's running at 205 F and kept rising. The power cable has no rating but much thinner my RC car cable. The fuse is rated at 30A and this can catch on fire because the fuse go off because I know from experience this cable cannot support 30A.
