Great Hybrid Tire
I bought a Gary Fisher Cake 3DLX that came with Bontrager Jones AcX 26x2.2" knobby tires, see comparison pictures above. Typical work out ride is 2.5 miles on the street 5 miles on dirt and a little sand then 2.5 miles home on the street. After six rides with a friend who has hybrid tires, I was always 1/4 mile behind him after the 2.5 mile street stretch coming home. I thought I was just out of shape so we swapped bikes one day and sure enough, he was now the one who was 1/4 mile behind at the end of the street stretch.I installed these Kenda 908 tires and on our first ride out, I was right there with him at the end. These tires definitely reduce the rolling resistance as compared to my full knobby tires. They are stable on the street and feel great off road. They are a little more slippery in the deep sand compared to the knobby tires but that is to be expected. I haven't had a chance to ride them in the wet but I expect them to perform well. The solid center section with the larger side lugs makes this a great compromise tire. Very pleased with the way these ride. Great price and shipping from Amazon!Edit: After riding on these a few more times I would like to add to my review. My bike is a 17" while I probably need a 19", so my seat is up pretty high and my bars are fairly low. With the old knobby tires, pedaling while sitting upright (hands off the bars) was nothing short of an adventure keeping it upright and straight. Read: Hands flailing like a tightrope walker in the wind. With these Kenda K908's, the bike is rock solid and tracks nice and straight while pedaling upright! I love these tires.

The ride is awesome going to work
I started to commute to work in the morning which is a 10 mile uphill pavement ride. My old knobby mt bike tires were wearing me down with the rolling resistance so I wanted to get a more pavement friendly tire. I chose these after comparing multiple tires and price points. I didn't have any issues getting the tires on my rims as many other reviews had stated but I did have to work with them to get the bead to seal. Both tires at first seemed a little too small for the rim since I pumped them up and there was a slight dip in one spot so the tire wobbled. After releasing air and working with the tire to make sure it was even all the way around it finally seated correctly. You'll definitely hear a few pops and twangs as the tire seats itself. The ride is awesome going to work! the center solid channel is great on pavement and has allowed me to go uphill in higher gears than I was used to. I also took them on a fairly aggressive mountain bike ride in the Wasatch mountains. They performed well going uphill and I only had limited slip in loose terrain. Going downhill took a little getting used to since I had the PSI up to 55 rather than the 40 I was used to on my old tires. They were a little squirrely but performed adequately for the speed I was going, cornering was fine with the knobbies. I would buy these tires again but the ideal situation would be to have two sets of rims, one for commuting and one for trail riding.

Great tire at a great price
Needed to replace my aggressive tread mountain bike tires because I'm mainly riding on a hard path. These tires are the perfect blend for riding on hard surfaces with occasional forays on grass, gravel, dirt, etc. There is enough grip to veer off-road without fear of a wipe-out, something I do several times per ride because some people at my park of choice LOVE to walk slowly and take up both sides of the path (looking at you, old people). One guy was walking down the middle of the path with his music blaring out of his phone without earbuds. As I approached him, my annoyance level began to mysteriously increase, and not just because he was walking down the middle of the path. To my horror, I identified the music as Richard Marx. Yes, a middle-aged man (who looked like he was sporting a perm) was BLARING Richard Effing Marx while 'exercising.' I wondered if I had just ridden into a middle school dance in the 80's. I was so stunned I veered off the path onto some slick grass but managed to stay upright thanks to these tires. Why wouldn't you have earbuds while listening to that? I mean, we all have a song or two on our iPhones that are guilty pleasures that we hide from our friends, but Richard Marx? Despite Richard's attempt, these tires held up just fine. I have them on a Schwinn mountain bike and inflated to 60 PSI. Installation was a breeze--took 20 minutes from start to finish. They were delivered in what appeared to be a giant blue sandwich bag, but whatever. These tires perform so well at such a great price that Richard Marx himself could deliver them in a singing telegram manner and it would be well worth it (unless he sang Hold on to the Nights or Right Here Waiting).

GREAT ALL ROUNDER
Kenda make good tyres across the $ range. I typically ride a 29er MTB with a more aggressive tread pattern than this one- but that is for some more serious off road. These tyres are of a good, solid construction- the walls are robust and not papery thing, the tread thick and solid. The centre line is wide and smooth which provides a nice, smooth ride on roads with minimal rolling resistance. The outer of the tyre is more aggressive with a nice rail on the edge for some dirt track/ off road. Its steers precisely and holds a line well. The tyres are thick and strong enough to be puncture resistant as well.Good grip in wet weather, too.I use these tyres on an off road tandem both on the roads and in the dirt and for that, these tyres have been great. If you want to grip loose pack up a 60 degree incline then these arent the tyres for you, if however you are looking for something that will grip the dirt trails and transition to roads with ease, and vice versa, then these are the sort of thing you want. They are holding up well to abuse and, this far, not a complaint.

So far so good. Quiet comfortable ride on paved path
have used them for a year. So far so good. Quiet comfortable ride on paved path. Can't tell how they would hold up to dirt or grass.
