So excited!
These look so good straight out of the box and I'm washing them right away to try them out tonight. Will update this review once I get more use out of them, but they really are beautiful with all of their multicolors! They are in Japanese size for bath towels so a couple inches shorter LxWxD than big fluffy Western-style towels, but I expected this and a couple inches is no big deal to me. Very quick shipping from Japan also! ✨🌸👍Washed them in a mesh bag to preserve the delicate fibers, some wet lint came off with a few good shakes, and a little more lint after drying on the line for a while, then shaking out again. They are sooo soft for line-dried fabric! Took maybe 6 hours to air dry completely(inside on racks after dusk), after the wash, but I left them overnight to be safe. 💖I wonder if putting them in the dryer, for some reviewers, made the quality deteriorate? I've only air dried mine(shaking out now and then, while drying, to fluff up the fibers so they don't dry hard and scratchy) and they're perfect, exactly as described - I've used them three times so far and I swear they're making my skin glow, too! I have zero regrets for this purchase despite the high cost. In my opinion, the quality and investment are worth it!

Met Expectations
I always read reviews prior to purchasing, so upon receiving the towels I was delighted that they were exactly as I thought they'd be. The colors are BEAUTIFUL and the sizing may be smaller than US standards for a bath towel, but honestly I don't care for the typical extra large size. They are not the most absorbent so I often use them as hair towels or when I have time to air dry the rest of the way.In terms of cost, I do not dare tell my partner what I spent for these three towels which he does not like as he prefers our other more absorbent options. lolOverall, still very happy with my purchase.

Looks and feels better, like no other
These are super-nice towels that just feel superior.I bought these as a gift for a family member's summer home, as guest bath / beach towels to fit the setting. The colors are really pretty and quite fun, and they have a really plush "floppy" feel that you notice the second you handle one. At about $17.65 each, you could get something more boring and with a cheaper feel at Ikea, but who wants boring and cheap?Time will tell how they hold up under abuse from house guests, but all indications so far (no lint, loose threads, or broken terry loops, and good weight along with suppleness) tell me they'll do quite well.Of course, the back-story behind them is just that, but made it a more interesting gift than just "Here's some towels you could buy anywhere."I will definitely report back on their endurance after a summer of heavy usage.

Pretty Colors, thin towels
I bought these towels for the colors. It's very hard to find stripes that include pink and yellow to go in a 1950's bathroom. So - they are thin and not very large, but mostly for show because I was sick of white towels. Three towels is an odd number.

Love these towels from Japan
These towels are expensive but totally worth the purchase. I liked them so much, I bought a second set. The towels are on the smaller side but I love the lightweightness of it. Towel is soft and absorbs well. I also like the fact that they dry quickly in the dryer. They also don't shed as much in the dryer. When you first open the package, it has a scent of Japan. Not sure what scent that is but I spent many summers in Japan and it just reminds me of the scent of Japan. I like it!

Super fine!
Got these for our baby - super light and absorbent and lovely. We love them!Don't expect heavy weight Egyptian cotton. This is a different game. Think light and delicate yet extremely effective.

Colorful but, not absorbent
I initially washed these towels prior to use and have washed them a couple of more times over the last few weeks. They have held up well (construction) and look great, however, they are not very effective at drying the body. They do not have a lot of nap and almost seem threadbare during their use. I feel that my skin is still wet after toweling my body. I do not use any softening agents or dryer sheets when I wash my clothes. I plan on returning these towels.
