Definitely not for me. I’ve been struggling and thought this book would help me, but I’ve read a quarter of it and just keep wondering when the book is going to start... I feel like she just keeps saying the same thing over and over and over and over again and telling me what the book is about but never actually starts the book.

What is most upsetting about this book is the way its branded as a self-love book.  Its really just the author talking about how overweight she was ans how she struggled with that her whole life and that not everythings perfect now but she’s doing better.  Waste of money and VERY repetitive - she uses the words my appearance ans overweight so many times you will start rolling your eyes.  Its definitely not meant for a broader audiance.

If I had a dollar for every time she said "When I started my self-love experiment" I would be a millionaire. I was really excited for this book because self-love is SO important. However, I was expecting more actionable steps to practicing self-love (overcoming mental blocks, dealing with self-limiting behaviors) more of a "how-to". That is not what this book holds. She speaks a lot about her journey, but it feels overly repetitive and begins to feel like you're reading the same chapter over and over again, just reworded.If you're looking for a book that's going to have actionable steps, major breakthroughs, and examples on how to overcome a lack of self-love - this isn't it.If you want to read a book about the inner dialogue of someone trying to learn how to self love, about the inner musings that don't actually lead up to those wonderful "aha!" moments - this is it.
