Haven't used it for that yet. However, I have since discovered so many other uses for it. I do my nails every day, and there are times when I have to use pure acetone because of the polish I'm wearing that day (such as glitters). Acetone wreaks havoc on nails, making them dry and brittle. I have found that using coconut oil on my nails and then wearing cotton gloves maybe three or four times that day will completely replace the moisture to my nails. The other use that has been extremely helpful is to my skin. My entire life the skin on my nose is constantly flaky and dry, no matter what I use. One day, just for giggles, I put coconut oil on my nose. I could not believe that it was completely smooth and moist in only a few hours! I have also started using this oil for shaving my legs. And what a difference THAT makes. Skin is so smooth with no razor burn at all. It's great for dry, cracked lips too. I have been using it for years, way before it was "the thing" to do. I use it on my skin every day, twice a day, and cook with it as well. As you can imagine, I go through it relatively quickly. With that being said I have purchased quite an abundance over the year. Never have I ever had one as terrible as this one.I don't know what the heck went wrong with the making of this or if I just got a bad batch but WOW. The smell radiating from this bottle is enough to make me throw out the entire tub and call it a day. It smells like something burnt and/or rotten mixed with a little coconut. As a matter of fact the burnt/rotten smell covers up almost all of the coconut smell.I'm sorry if this was not the case for everyone but I am so upset to pay extra to put coconut oil on my skin and get a large tub of it like this only to have to throw the entire thing out. I should have asked for my money back but I feel as though maybe I just got a bad batch since a lot of other reviews are positive.
