The round ear coverings protrude in an almost comical way, and the inside of the warmers are rounded slightly, too, so they don't lie flat and don't feel properly seated. Very unattractive and clownish looking when on. They are warm, but look hideous. Fortunately, they're perfect! The fluffy material stick outa bit on the ear side instead of being kind of a hollow cover for your ears which most ear muffs are--this makes them much warmer than the usual ear muffs, though that could be the feeling of tightness that some reviewers have mentioned. I love them so much I just ordered a backup pair in case I lose these.
