This offers such good support for your dogs heart.
This is so easy to use and my dogs like the taste. I sprinkle it over their food and they eat it all. I feel so good about the healthy support this supplement offers.

Taurine
I only recently found out that dogs like mine or that can have heart problems should be taking this because it is not in all dog food. I'm getting ready to purchase more because so far my babies are doing well with it. So they will stay on it forever more. It's really easy to use, comes with a scoop. I really like the wide mouth container too.

Helped our pups
We add a scoop to each breakfast and dinner. Smells fishy to me but the pups don’t mind at all. We use wet food. The pups are now 10 and 14 so they need support. Both pups seem to have more energy (each has a minor heart murmur). Will continue to use this product!

Great ingredients and my dog loved the flavor...to my surprise!
I love the ingredients in this powder. My dog, who has a heart murmur, is on 3 prescription medications and Herbsmith answered me immediately when I asked if this would be an appropriate supplement with the meds he was on. So I bought it and gave it to him twice a day. Even my other dog wanted it, too. Unfortunately it didn't quite last a month and at this high price, I just couldn't continue buying it. I instead went with another good supplement but the capsules are large and hard to dose my small dog. If the price was lower (half) then I would buy this every month.

Good stuff
We started using this product for our cat when we switched from commercial food to homemade. The only thing I didn't like about it was the actual putting it on the cat's food. I discovered a wonderful solution to this: we now use 10 oz Clear Plastic Dredge Spice Shaker - Restaurant Style - Polycarbonate. One or two shakes over her food and she is good to go. Available on Amazon, of course. It's very helpful to put a food grade desiccant in the shaker. Also available on Amazon

I am a 12-year-old shihtzu with heart problems that make it hard for me to get around, and even hard to breathe sometimes. In addition to my medication from the vet, my mom gives me Herbsmith taurine twice a day as recommended. She mixes it in a little dab of turkey baby food and I gobble it up, even though I am a very picky eater and my appetite is not so good. Plus, I never liked fish before but I like this. I am 3/4ths through my first jar and I have more energy than before and I'm happier, too. Mom can tell I am happy because I want to have playtime again, chasing balls and squeak toys. I didn't have the strength to play before, even for a few minutes. If you have a dog who can benefit from extra taurine in his diet, I think you should give this product a try.

Not for my 2 cats
My cats wouldn't touch the food that I mixed this into, no matter how little or how well I tried. I think it should be sold as solely for dogs. Unflavored Taurine powder would be preferable for cats.

Fish breath
My dog has allergies to grain dog food so we have been using grain free. Well articles came out earlier this year saying grain free foods may cause heart problems and I asked my vet and they said that they recommend you don’t use them. When I told her about the allergies she told me I had two options either pay more than $100 a month for hypo allergenic food or add this supplement to his food. After some research many dog foods including grain inclusive dog food is lacking on taurine levels. So hopefully this prevents any issues. That being said, it’s made from krill. It smells like fish food and will give your dog a very foul breath. It wasn’t a big deal for me because my dog already eats a fish flavored dog food.
