ARRL's General Q&A 6th Edition – Quick and Easy Path to Upgrading to a General Class Ham Radio License

It’s an ARRL product. You can’t go wrong! I would recommend the purchase as it gives content on electronics, radio waves, safety and much more. Great educational material for someone who is interested in being licensed or just simply wants to learn about radios.

Excellent quality book but this edition is all over the map! I’m no rocket scientist but wow! Terrible format for studying the general test! This edition is better for reference and even then you must go back and forward just to get questions and answers! The test questions and answers are there but good luck with the navigation!Personally it would be better for the questions and answers to be with the studying of the current questions pool! Other than that is a great reference book and not a study for the General Exam! Better is Mometrix Test Preparation/ General Class study guide. They get directly to to point on the questions pools.

I was disappointed with how small the font size of this ARRL General Q&A upgrade book was. Better off buying another book with a larger font or an online version you could adjust the font.

I really like the summary that provides the reasons for the answers provided. However, I did notice a discrepancy in question G7A03. The correct answer, according to the General Study Guide 2019-2023 is "A", "Full-wave". the book incorrectly states it as "B". I was using N3FJP's Amateur Exam 1.4 when it disagreed with the answer from this printing. Having additional study processes is imperative If there are any more errors, I will update this.

This Q&A was a great help to me while studying for my FCC license.

I'm not sure where it was Damaged weather Shipping or From the Distribution Center but Its a book Its gonna get wears and tears. All in all still a good purchase

If you are preparing for the Amateur Radio General Class license, the Q&A book is a great help. It is nice to know "why" a particular answer is what it is and the explanations are keyed to the main manual. Note, the same questions in the Q&A book are in the back of the General Class License Manual, but the Q&A book gives the reasons for the answer given. Hope that helps.
