Yes you can. We bought the pitchers because it makes a nice presentation for guests and us.

Can you taste the peppermint and ginger, or just the fruit?

I taste more of the mango peach taste than the ginger and peppermint. It's a very high quality tea so you don't have that cheap or sugary flavorings/syrups that people use to flavor their drinks. The company does have a sampler pack that allows you to try more than one flavor. My favorite is the blood orange tea.
