I received the Iceco quickly and it appeared to be in good condition. After letting it sit for 24 hours, I plugged it in to the wall to let it cool down. Unfortunately, cool never came. I tried AC power, I tried DC power. I tried resetting cool settings. It just didn’t work. I contacted Amazon and they said I could return for a refund. I contacted Iceco and explained the problem. I got a very prompt response asking for a bit of additional information. The next message from them said a new one was on the way. The new one arrived in a few days and works perfectly. Lots of folks on here have questioned Iceco customer service but for me it was above excellent. Stuff sometimes doesn’t work and a great company makes it right. Now for the unit. Lots of reviews here already about it. It is fantastic. I love the 2 zone ability having a freezer and refrigerator in one. So, I plug it into the AC power before a trip to cool it. It is at temperature in less than an hour. I find it important to pre cool the contents before putting in the Iceco. It struggles to chill a bunch of room temperature beverages (which you would expect). I load the Iceco in the truck and plug in via DC cigarette lighter. It works great while on the road. Once i arrive at my destination, I’ll unplug from the truck and plug into Jackery 500. With one side on freezer (smaller side) and the other on refrigerator….I can get at least 48 hours on the Jackery. It is a game changer for me. No more ice. It’s really great. My one knock on this (and it is me not the unit) is that it’s BIG! I really don’t need a refrigerator this big. I chose the size based on normal cooler use, but you can get by with much smaller fridge than cooler. If you’ve been considering one of these. Get one! You will not be disappointed.

This is our second Iceco VL60. Our experience with them came pre-installed in our off-road camper which we have have had good history with for over 2 years. This new frig was installed in our tow vehicle for when we aren't towing the camper and chilling in the RTT. Easy to use features. Durable metal construction. Cools down fast after turning it on. Low energy consumption when running on 12 volts. Used for 3 days after received for a trip and it functioned flawlessly.

This fridge was EXCELLENT for a road trip out to the western U.S - We put it in the back of our 4runner on a custom built slide, attached to a jackery 500 battery. This thing SIPS energy on the 12v setting. We connected the jackery to the vehicle cigarette adapter and the fridge to the battery so that it would run off the battery while the vehicle was off. Never had a problem or hiccup with power - food stayed cold, and the freezer worked perfectly. We often parked in a shady area, but it was still hot outside -- the fridge ran cool. We stored the fridge for a year in between trips, and it lost functionality. Contacted ICECO - their customer service handled it quickly and provided an immediate fix. Couldn't be happier with the unit or the customer service. Stuff happens. It is nice having the confidence in knowing that when it does -- the company backs their product.

I haul cars for a living & needed a good fridge/freezer for my truck. I had an upright dorm fridge but it only lasted a year & the second one only two weeks. I did a lot of research before finally choosing ICECO VL60. It was designed to be used in a camping environment which is far less than smooth roads on the way to the campsite. It has an extremely well built refrigeration unit in it. So it should hold up well to some of the less than smooth roads criss crossing America in my semi. I have the fridge @ 36* & the freezer @ 0* This has about 8,000 miles on it so far & is doing superbly. Everything in the fridge is nice & cold just the way I like it & the food in the freezer is rock hard. When I’m home I pre make meals to take with me & put them in quart size freezer ziplock bags. I can get ten of these in the bottom notch of the freezer then put the basket in & continue adding whatever I like. It runs very quietly. I like that it can be set to save the battery of the vehicle it’s in too. This was definitely worth the price. I absolutely love this fridge/freezer. My only complaint is that it’s not available in an upright. That would work so much better in a semi.

Long story short, it took me leaving a 1-star review to get the assistance I needed. Finally got my 3rd replacement in the mail and it works flawlessly. The manufacturing issue was resolved. Absolutely love the cooler, it’s been a game changer in our sprinter van. Gone are the days of soggy food from melted ice. Would’ve been an easy 5 stars had it not been so difficult to get my problems sorted. The manufacturing defect was a non-issue for me as the first replacement arrived quickly. It was also faulty. It wasn’t until I needed a 3rd unit that I got radio silence and was basically sent in a circle of “we’ll be in contact” until my 1-star finally got their attention. To their credit, they were great in working around my summer van travels in making sure they all arrived when I was home. Everyone was very friendly and I still recommend them to anyone that sees my cooler. 5 star product, but they get 4 because they kinda dropped the ball at the end.

I've had my ICECO fridge for about a year. It works great. I had to Google what normal fridge & freezer temps are. After setting those temps on the fridge (40F)/freezer (0F), I found it wasn't necessary to go that low to keep the food cool/frozen. I actually found that the ice in my ice trays were frozen so hard it was difficult to get them out w/o breaking. :-D My ice pack and other food items that I had in the bottom space of the freezer were also frozen hard. Some water from my ice trays would spill down there bc of the angle I had to access the freezer and would freeze the food to the wall. Also, bc the freezer was able to get really cold the items in the fridge froze or had frost on them. Personally, I don't see this as a negative. It just tells me I don't need to have the temps as low, which means less energy use. That is helpful when it comes to using my Jackery 500. I can run the ICECO for two days on it (eco mode). I took a month long trip in March, and towards the end of the trip I noticed that the little button piece at the tip of the 12V "cigarette lighter" plug was coming loose. It eventually came apart. I was able to put it back together and keep it working. However, the little button eventually lost its "spring" ability and therefore wasn't able to connect into my jackery. I reached out to ICECO via email & phone w/o response. The phone # seems to be transferred to someone's cellphone. Eventually, I got a hold of someone via Instagram, and they sent me a new 12V charger. I recently returned from a 6 week trip and had no problems. I purchased the cover as well. Originally, I wasn't going to, but I'm glad I did. It helps protect the fridge/freezer from dents and scuffs and also helps keep the temp. I use this for SUV camping, so I tend to put things on top of it when I'm not cooking. I'd love to see a smaller version of this dual fridge/freezer. I don't want to go without a freezer, but need the separate dual components. However, this is huge and takes up the back 1/2 of my 4runner (seats up, with sides at back of seat and hatch). The fridge space is fine, but I could relinquish freezer space :-) One other thing that'd be nice is instead of having one large fridge basket would be to have two stackable ones. One could be larger than the other. It would help with organization. All in all, I'm glad I have it.

I have had this unit for over 2 years now. The only reason I give it a single star is because; I set one side to freeze and the other side to as high of a temp as possible. The problem, the side set to the highest possible setting still freezes my beverages, salad, meets, hash browns and more. I have the setting on eco and "Low" and nothing improves. It is so frustrating to pull out the bottle of milk and find that it is frozen!!!!! UPdate: 2025.12 After modifying my original review in Aug 2023, iceco sent me a new unit. I don't know if it was refurbished or not. The new unit has been plugged in and used since that time until Nov 2025.....inside my house. It has never once been used on any adventures. The "new" unit issues that I have had. This unit is two sided. I would set the LCD screen temp to 20 degrees Fahrenheit for both sides. I put a small typical freezer temperature gauge on both sides. That temp gauge would show the temperature on the inside of the unit to be 15-20 degrees warmer than what the LCD would display. So I changed the LCD to read 0 degrees Fahrenheit and the temp gauges would be closer to 20 degrees. I emptied and turned off the unit in the 3rd week of Nov, unplugged it and thawed it out. It has been close to 4 weeks sense then. I have plugged it back in to see if the problem persisted. Well, now one side of the LCD screen is not working. The temp control issue has not changed.

I bought this fridge/freezer a few years ago for a van conversion I was working on for myself. I am extremely happy with this product and it has been in use every day since then. I wanted a good solid dependable unit and that's exactly what I got. I I mounted it on locking drawer slides in my kitchen cabinets to maximize cooking and counter top space so nothing has to move out of the way to access it. This unit has been as far north, west and east in Canada as possible with no problem and I have never had any spoilage due to it always keeping within a couple of degrees of set temperature no matter how hot the weather, it has functioned very well from minus 30C to plus 44C. I highly recommend this unit and would not hesitate to buy another one in the future should I do another van conversion.

This is a great product! And the ICECO company has an excellent customer service! I bought this fridge freeze on Amazon! They shipped my package! But that package never arrived! So I explained to them that it never arrived! They sent me another one, which did arrive! All good working order! Kudos to ICECO! Thanks for your great service! I give them 10 stars ⭐️

It is the perfect size for my needs and it is quiet

Using this since 2023 July summer road trip. Works very well bothside refrigerator and freezer. it was so awesome to have Mr freez and ice cream on the road and outdoor activities on a super hot day. Good enough space for 2people meal prep for a week.
