It is not too heavy, but feels very well-made. The leather has gotten scuffed since I've been using it but is only adding to the charm of the bag. I wanted something that will age well and I believe this is it. It fits my 15.6" HP Envy with room to spare in the back laptop padded section with a clipboard that has a snap-close compartment and a filled accordion-style document holder in the back zippered section. The front zippered section holds my water bottle, purse, pens, earbuds, and random things I may need for class. The front pockets hold my mouse/pad in one and my laptop charger in the other with room to spare. I rarely use the back zippered section but it could hold my e-reader no problem.
