Luster Leaf868 0868 Soft Stretch Tie, 100', Green

The wire tie is excellent! Listed at the moment is a heavy duty green, which is 7mm in diameter vs the black, which is 4mm. I used the green to remake a broken handle for my 64oz water bottle.

Black mold absolutely loves the green vinyl coating on this wire. I live in the South where it's hot an humid, and maybe that wouldn't be a problem elsewhere, but it was for me. I immediately tossed it after a season. And, really, should have earlier.

This stuff is great. I put binder clips on my plant pots and tie the plant down to them for low stress training. These are flexible but if installed properly it will actually support the plants and move with them over time. I bought two and the pieces are reusable unless you stretch them or tie them very tightly.I ordered one and my housemate like it so much she ordered two from here as well. unfortunately, one of those were basically useless. We counted 10 sections that were cut and tied together so tightly that most of the product was useless for tying plants. It was literally in 14"-25" sections tied together with about 10' of usable product at the beginning.The product is 5/5 for sure. Great price and almost every piece will get reused next year.The quality is 3/5 for sending trash bits in place of one of the three orders.I'd recommend this product for anyone trying to get bigger fruits on their plants. The extra strength from tying the branches down will trick the plant into thinking it has a bigger stalk and is strong enough to support bigger fruit.

The product is great. But--there was no way, when I saw the package, that this could be 32' of wire. So I measured it and it was 16 feet. We called, amazon was great and sent out a replacement. And guess what? That one, also ostensibly for 32', was also obviously short. Again I measured, again it was 16'. While I was on hold with customer service, I noticed that the product has a label on top of another label. On a whim, I tried peeling back the label. It worked, and voila! The original label says 16'! With the original bar code for the 16' product. I now have two of these (so I have the 32 feet in total) with the double labels. I called Amazon to tell them the story, and they gave us a refund, but I would never buy this product again, at least for a long while, given the likelihood that either someone at the factory was not paying attention and slapped labels on an already-labeled batch, or that someone somewhere was up to no good. Better to get a different product from a different supplier. Bummer, because the product itself is great. I use to hold dahlias and tomatoes to stakes, raspberry brambles to wire, etc. They are totally reusable. But get someonoe else's product, as these folks are making a mess of it.

At this price point , how can you go wrong.Compare to buying the ones a the big orange box DIY store, where you get a couple/few on a card.This , ok, you dont get the pretty end caps, but I haven't stuck myself yet, and you don't see these things normally. Usually the bundle this contains is back beyond a desk or shelf.Only negative, need a wire cutter of sorts. I wont take a star off of the review for that, since the price point is soo fair.Any DIYer should have a set of wire cutters around anyway.

This is my latest all-around handy product. It can be used for many purposes, only limited by your imagination. So far I've used it inside the house, in applications which I may have previously used wire twist ties. These are better than that when you need something more "grippy". I have yet to use it in the garden, but believe these would be great for staking plants. I hope the outer covering lasts a long time. For now, I'm very satisfied.

I purchased these Rapiclip soft wire in 2013 and writing this update in November 2016 after using the same wire for 4 summers for my cucumber plants. The wires are still usable, they did not rust, they are still pliable and work very well holding up my cucumber vine on the trellis.They are gentle on the vines but hold them securely in place. They worked better than twine or plastic ties I used in the past. They are made out of a foam tube with metal wire inside the tube. The wire is pretty thin and the twist ties can be easily cut with the regular scissors.The package contains 16 feet, which is not a lot once you start using it. However once the vines get trained and woody I move some of the twist wires to the new growth so I get more use out of each piece.Ali Julia review

I bought this based on a mask-maker's recommendation but it wasn't suitable from my point of view. The wire inside is pretty stiff and the rubber insulation is thick - the strand is almost 5mm and is too bulky and weighty to be comfortable for very long. It was difficult to put inside the mask and presented a major challenge trying to sew a "pocket" around it. It's probably really good in a garden but I won't use it for masks. Will stick with floral stem wire - less obtrusive, not too heavy, easy to form around the nose while still holding its shape and generally easier to work with.

I was hoping to use this for masks for the nose piece, but it's just too thick. That being said, it's really great for its intended purpose.

I will never use twine again.I used to use twine to hold my plants, but it's a nuisance to tie and you inevitably end up banging the plants around in the process.This stuff is awesome. I simply cut a piece a few inches long, bend one end around the plant and hook the other end on the stake (or wrap them with it). The "padding" on the wire prevents it from cutting into the plants. It can be adjusted with ease (without having to untie any twine) and it's completely re-usable.

Easy to cut and tie around my plants. I thought the rubber casing around the wire would not be as thick but it's definitely soft and easy to bend. And I like that the colour blends in.
