I came here because I wanted to chime in with a rebuttal for the negative reviews. If you are looking for a short shifter for your 240sx, this one is perfect for the price. Of course I’m sure there are better options like B&M, but they are also 4-5x the price. I used this on my ka24de trans, I don’t abuse it or bang gears, just a daily driver, so this shifter works great. It’s tight, and is a lot shorter throw than the OEM shifter. Here are things you should know; 1)buy an m10x1.25 shift knob, it doesn’t come with one. Or just use your OEM shift knob. 2) it does need to be flipped when you buy it. It’s four simple Allen head bolts that need to be removed and you can flip it. When I got mine I wasn’t sure if it would be the right orientation out of the box. When you mount the shifter, you want it to be leaning towards the rear of the car, not towards the dash. Very simple task. Although I do think the manufacturer should fix this. 3) the bushing provided on the shifter bottom does not fit into the trans. You have to use your original shifter bushing. Again, not hard to do. It just pops off of your old shifter and you pop it back onto the new shifter. This is probably also an easy fix for the manufacturer, but it’s a minor inconvenience that you can easily fix. Don’t hesitate to purchase this shifter if you just want a short shifter and you aren’t worried about name brand stuff.

I installed this on my 300zx z31 n/a with the 71c trans I turned the shifter around to give a better fit and it works flawlessly bolted right up

Shifter does need to be turned around. Does need some type of buffer at the base of the shifter to prevent rattles/vibrations ( same on the isr). Other than that straight bolt on application.

After reading the reviews I had to do the 180 handle swap. Also the bushing was way to large to fit. I had to swap with my old one which was not ideal. It does reduce the throw ~1-2 inches. So it works as described but requires some work to get it to fit.

Decent product. Works very well. Moderate install skill level required. Also had to remove stick and turn 180. It was too far forward for my application. Would definitely recommend

I don't usually write reviews, but this one couldn't go ignored... The shifter was literally installed BACKWARDS into the shift housing. I initially installed it, and the placement was WAY forward. My buddy even told me it looked like it was backwards before we even put it in. I thought he was crazy... So yeah, I would give it a better review, but they literally put it together incorrectly from the "factory"... My mind is blown. It's such a simple product...Buyer beware!!!

This shifter feels pretty solid, I had an mgw on my trans am and this is about 70% compared to that. Its a good buy for the money.
