Thai Fisherman Pants - Lightweight Cotton Lounge Pants for Men, Perfect for Yoga, Hippie, or Pirate Style

I have had many Thai pants before and this style of thin material pant does wear out eventually but are sturdy and will last a good amount of time. They are extremely useful for yoga, tai chi and other movement exercises and I have also used them on long duration flights because they do not bind and leave room to breathe. This is the first time I have ordered from CandyHusky. They arrived in a simple carry bag that at first I didn't think I'd use but I now find it useful to keep the pants from wrinkling when I put them in my larger bag. I teach Ai Chi (Aquatic Tai Chi) and they are loose and comfortable giving me with plenty of freedom of movement. Beyond that, the material and sewing pattern are typical of these style of pants. I am 1.74m (5'11) and find I need to tie them just a bit higher to keep from dragging them on the ground. I'd rather have too much rather that too little material. Easy to hike up as needed. They are what I wanted and though slightly more spendy than I'd like I will likely order another pair as spare once I have the cash.

Very comfortable, even more so after soaking in some fabric softener during hand washing. Care sheet included recommends hand washing. They seem pretty sturdy but fabric may not hold up well in machine wash. I didn't want to take a chance. Faint bleeding of color on initial wash. I used the air dry setting - no heat in my dryer for these - a bit quicker than line drying and they were softer from tumbling. I would not put in dryer on any settings that involved heat. These seem to get softer with wear also. Great for lounging, camping, yoga, etc. Bought a few more pairs in the shorter length for summer. The fabric is lightweight and comfortable on a hot day but should be fine for spring and fall also in Midwest. Plenty of room for another layer underneath if needed. Sizing accurate- these are a bit larger than many harem/ fishing type pants. Would comfortably fit women XL/ men 38-40 and probably a size or two bigger (but probably would not be able to fold fabric on side, just fold top down over ties.) Would be fine for someone much smaller also. The ties DO stay tied which was a concern when buying but I have not had any issues. These stay in place and can be adjusted to variety of sizes and can be pulled up with waist rolled if you do not want them so saggy in the crotch. (Perfect pants to lend to house guests and make a great gift if you do not know someone's size! ) I want them in more colors.

GREAT range of motion, very loose very comfortable, mostly go with sandals but ANY SIZED man can fit in these. put the ties in the back and wrap around front and tie very easy to secure then fold leftover down.

You will break the stitching in the crotch if you move your legs in a stretch with these pants. You can certainly NOT use these pants for yoga. You will rip them in two. The pants are made in an H shape. If you lay them on the table, they form a near perfect rectangular shape. While this is great for fabric usage, it is not so good in the flexibility while wearing the pants. The youtube vids I have seen for patterns on these style of pants are more of a Y shape. It is my belief that this shape is better for flexibility. I am disappointed that they have seemed to op for profitability by frugal material use versus optimal shape for flexibility and comfort while wearing the pants. If you do not plan to stretch or do yoga in these pants, then they are acceptable. But, being advertised for Yoga is giving these a 1 star rating.

I might like these pants a lot more if I could wear them. I'm too large. Not the pants fault!... Great idea - well made... i love em - just need em to be about 2 sizes larger

These fit perfectly, are long enough to cover my legs completely (I am 5'11''), and are so comfortable. I have one aging pair of similar pants that I bought in Thailand 10 years ago, and in my opinion these have not only worked as a suitable replacement, they are much nicer. I have now ordered four pairs in total and will be using these as my regular attire. And to those writing that the pants are too small, lose some weight. I am by no means skinny, yet these would fit if I gained another 100 pounds.

A soft linen that is lightweight and comfortable. It might take a moment to figure out how to wear then but once you do you will want to live in them.

I've worn tie fisherman's pants for years; yoga, as pajamas, and most recently as traveling pants.. I'm 5'4" so the length hits near my ankle but that's fine. So this review is on this vendor and this product.. you can buy these all over and sometimes they are of a very flimsy material but these are 100% cotton and incredibly sturdy, almost like linen. Just NEVER ever throw them in the dryer. The reason I gave him three stars for breathability is not a bad thing. The fabric is quite thick and will take some time to line dry but I have pairs of last me three to five years in my travels and they're almost like new. If you're not familiar with Thai fisherman pants they have an adjustable waistline drawstring design which if you are going through pregnancy or have weight gain for any reason saves you having to worry about that. I've got three or four pair and stick to this vendor because I have been impressed by the quality, and I first bought these in Thailand!
