**Q: Does it matter which direction the sheave is mounted on the shaft? Shaft set screws on the inside or outside?**
A: I don't think it matters, but it has been a long time since I installed the sheave and my memory of the installation has faded.  It was a good quality sheave and adjustment was easy.  It allowed me to fine-tune the load of the electric motor it was mounted on.
