FrogTape Pro Blue Painter's Tape

I recently took on a complete home interior paint job and used this tape for the very first time, whereas previously I was using 3M. I must say, it genuinely lived up to its reputation! From the get-go, the tape was easy to apply, and it stuck firmly to whatever surface I needed without leaving any residue behind. It also cut very easily. FrogTape delivered sharp paint lines, ensuring that my paint job looked just professional enough, and clean. The "PaintBlock Technology", which is supposed to keep the paint from bleeding, really works and is totally not some gimmick. Removing the tape was a breeze, and it only slightly tore, but that was more about how I was pulling it off. There was 0 damage the underlying surface it was on, even after several days. Overall, FrogTape has become my go-to choice for whatever I will need to paint in the future. It’s worth every penny, so I highly recommended for all levels' of painters.

We used FrogTape to paint the stripes in our master bedroom, and it did an awesome job. The lines came out super crisp with zero bleed-through, even over the textured wall. The only thing to watch for is that the tape stretches a little if you pull too tight — just smooth it down gently instead of tugging, and it’ll stay perfectly straight. It came off clean, no peeling or residue. Totally worth it for how sharp and professional the stripes look!

I was very nervous that this might not be legit frogtape, but it's great! It seems slighly better than the green stuff from the store because it tears less during removal - but that might just be me getting better at taping (I learned removing within a few hours of painting makes a HUGE difference) . It seems just a bit more sturdy though? I will NEVER tape with anything but Frogtape again, because everything else simply doesn't work. Decades of experience and i finally learned my lesson. So this value was an awesome find. Sharp lines, no bleeding if pushed on firmly, no stripping off finish. I did NOT try it on my 20 year old laminated kitchen cabinets (just the edges are laminated) . The new formulation of green stuff did rip off bits of that. So I strickly bought the yellow version for that before finding this. No problems on any trim though with this blue. I just wish i hadn't bought so much. It goes much farther than I thought.

This is an excellent tape for painting especially for colour line transitions. If it’s installed properly on a clean dust/debris free surface it will do exactly what it’s supposed to do. I would also recommend to remove it sooner than later as the adhesion is quite good. If there is poor prep under the surface you are painting it will pull the plaster etc. Great value for the money considering the green frog is almost $16 before taxes. Excellent Value for the money getting 3 for $28!

I bought this pack of 6 rolls from Amazon because it was cheaper than buying a pack of 4 rolls from a big box store. Compared to the 3M brand, it is less tacky - in a good way. I was able to peel off the tape without peeling off any of the new paint along the window frame and ledges I had masked out. I also ordered the Scotch tape dispenser, as it made a difference applying it to the edge of the walls along the trim. This tape was also useful for masking plastic sheets or kraft paper to painted walls/ceilings, counters, etc. when using a paint sprayer. I peeled the tape off without issue even after 3-4 days in some cases. Where paint was applied a bit too thick, a thin strip of tape did remain stuck to the wall or trim but came off easily with a putty knife. If you are painting trim along windows and have a steady hand, consider buying a high-quality 2 1/2" or 3" angled brush to paint and cut clean lines. I found that faster than trying to mask with paint.

This tape is great for woodworking. The size of the tape is great, the quality of the paper is great, sticks easily and maintains it's adhesion properly.

Perfect tape to use when painting, no marks go through this and it is worth paying the extra to get the cleanest finish! Highly recommend :)
