Probably didn't need a new carburetor after all!
The price was very reasonable so we thought we'd fix our problem with a new carburetor. Alas we still have the idling problem though. The carb went on with no problem very happy with the quality.

The carb works.
My Kohler CV460S sputtered and stalled when hot. This carburetor fixed it. Installation suggestion: take a photo of the governor and throttle linkage assembly before you take the old carb off. You may think you’ll remember for reassembly, but then you may not.

Does not work on Kohler CV491 engine
I bought the is kit to fit a Kohler cv 491 engine. The Carburetor added too much gas to engine causing gas to flood into the air breather while running.
