Ellie's Story: A Puppy Tale

I read this book to my 3rd graders every year. It's great to teach perspective and point of view as well as how to listen to descriptions and figure out what Ellie is describing that's something so common to us. My students fall in love with Ellie and love her story (no dogs die in this book). I also have all the other dog stories from this author and as soon as we read the first chapter in Ellie's Story, many of my students go straight to our bookshelf and borrow the other dog books. Ellie is always their favorite though. She's mine too bc she's a German Shepard and such a good, good girl. ❤️

Cute story. Easy to read for this age group. Was given as a gift to a friend who loves dogs.

My 8 year old son loved this book and the stories of how Ellie helped people. He's eager to read other Puppy Tales books!

My 9 year old LOVE w Bruce Cameron books and these are her favorite series. Highly recommend for kids who love stories about animals, from the dogs point of view.

I thought I ordered this as new but it came with me dirty and with some stains. Besides all of this the actual book was perfectly fine. It was just the book cover sleeve that was dirty, stained, and had creases on it.

My grandson gave me his extra copy when he was 7, & I am so glad he did. It is written first person dog and he told me I HAD to read it. So I did. I had a cat, Penelope. Being first person, dog, totally changed the way I thought about how Penelope thinks. Good story too.
